Dempster might not want to play on - bub on the way and has really been shoring up his after-footy credentials.

Re: The best thing out of today

With sport - or any performance come to that, theatre, music or whatever - it's not how you perform at your best but how you perform at your worst that counts. When we get to the stage where we can replace performances like the Adelaide and West Coast ones with performances like last week's, we're i...

Yep - if we're changing captains we might s well get one who stops doing that!

Membrey kicked straight.
Our new crop of leaders all stood up.
Steven really put his hand up for captaincy imho (even though have previously been backing Newnes).

Re: What do we really need player-wise?????

If Acres and Freeman make it (I know it's a big if) we're beautifully set up. Then we need a slippery mid - another Gresh or similar but with a bit more mongrel. Fingers crossed Gresh avoids the 2nd year blues cos he's got a nice bit of Dusty Martin about him.

Re: Does anyone else find Richo boring???

interesting thread and kudos to impatient sainter - not quite as bold as suggesting Rooey's past his use-by, but close! He is a bit droney but I notice a few positive signs - 1) the media like him, always give him an easy ride and he answers their questions fully and clearly and without any side, 2)...

Was interested to hear their take on this on Marngrook - suggested Paddy really needs to change his game and show some awareness rather than just hurling himself into every contest. More or less said there's courageous - which is great - and then there's stupid...

Except I'd say last week's poor performance was more to do with coaching than effort - so whatever message needed to be sent has hopefully been sent during training.

OMG - you mean women commit crimes too? Who knew?! However "more than 80 per cent of murders, robbery and unlawful entry in Australia are committed by men, and more than 90 per cent of sexual assaults too." Check it out - http://www.abs.gov.au/AUSSTATS/abs@.nsf/DetailsPage/4519.02012-13?Op...

Not all the media was bad though. Offsiders was terrific - great wrap for the team from Waleed. and then Lisa Alexander (Australia's netball coach if you don't know her) on Alan Richardson. All praise! "It's hard to overstate how good a win that was!"
