Re: Nettlefold Quits
[quote="Legendary"]So much conspiracy. The bloke is worth a packet, has worked his arse off for the club when he had no need to. Yes he's been well rewarded, but so is every CEO in the competition. He's done 5 years. That's about as much as you actually want from any CEO - and make no mist...

I think Kosi hit the nail on the head when he said that BJ realised where his mates were.

Re: Courageous Saints
Number 19 is one of the biggest thugs to ever play the game. Wouldn't last 5 minutes today. Intentional, severe, head, straight to the tribunal every time. nothing courageous there! Who did you barrack for in those days? It certainly was not St.Kilda if you think that. No 19 was not a thug. He was ...

Re: Thanks to Ross Lyon
Loyalty is a funny concept for coaches. Who should Leigh Matthews be loyal to? Or Michael Malthouse? Or Mark Thompson? Or Scott Watters for that matter? If loyalty means that coaches must stay until they are given the flick, then it seems like a one way street. In the end, Ross's loyalty was to his...

I haven't seen many of the S'ham games but must be kept. Has shown too much in recent games to let go. This Club needs to see how he will develop as a player; not somewhwere else. I have high expectations.

Agree with all th above. A great day to send off three great champions in style. Despite all the adverse comments I appreciated Lyon's gestures at the end of the game0.

Re: Scott on ABC 774
Heard part of the interview. The points I picked up from the part I heard were: Have a plan to restructure the playing list and we will be sticking to the plan Further changes to the list will occur before next season (as per the plan) Would not be drawn to comment on the future of some players eg N...

Re: Can some please explain to me what Gwilt's appeal is?
Because a guy had a few good years and was a good player - doesnt mean they are good forever. Heaps - I would say the vast majority of AFL players only really play 3 or so 'peak years'. Only the absolute freaks have 5+ good years. It is no disgrace that someone like Gwilty came from Noble Park and ...

Re: Saints best players, Geelong best team
The OP is spot on when he talks about the balance in the sides. Geelong's best players as with StK's at this time could go to any other AFL club and play. At this time however Geelong had some amazing pieces of sheer luck. The father/son rules at the time delivered them some prospects and we all kno...
