Re: Time Will Tell
If a professional footballer spends 5 days training and preparing and can’t get up for a game, it says something about the player. It’s their job to be up, it’s a non negotiable. Why the inconsistency? You have to consider the impact of the opposition. If they match our intensity around the footy, ...

Re: Time Will Tell
The inconsistency is something I can’t get past. Weeks week even quarter to quarter, goal kicking. Coaching has to play a big element in players being up.
Cattle remains an issue but not sure how anyone could develop to a grade in a side that is so up and down.

Re: Skrobolak new Forward coach
We are not alone. Have a look at some of the following. Collingwood - Brenton Sanderson. ex half back, Geelong, - James Rahilly 11 goals in 90 games. Port power - Nathan Basset played a defender. Most of these were not specialists in their respective lines. Some other forward coaches... Adelaide- B...

Re: Interesting selection
I like Gresham in the middle. He's clearly a Midfielder. It's his awful kicking that needs to be worked on. He'll be a very good mid in a good system. Not sold on Gresham in the middle, maybe if we had some decent accumulators he would be ok but at the moment he’s still just a 20 possie player and ...

Re: Rob Harvey in the running for head coach role
Understand the emotion for some but I still don’t see him as a senior coach. I’m worried that it won’t work and it would tarnish his saints legacy... tough one.

I’ll trust Basset to appoint best available. If that’s Scott then he will (initially) get my support.

And there is plenty of overwhelming evidence that experts in an area, coach in that area. Who is Mitchell coaching at Hawthorn, who is Lenny coaching at GWS, Scarlett Geelong, Harvey and Hocking Collingwood the list goes on Of course there is. No one is disputing that. Just you shooting your mouth ...

Must be Richo’s fault we are in front, because it will be his fault when we lose. On McKenzie, Barry Ridiculous decision akin to Armo at HB the other week 2 possessions at HT and he is the second lowest ranked player on the ground. Nothing like Armo. Coffield and Clarke need to play back right now ...

Should be our leaders in this situation, newnes ball watches and Ross loses confidence too easily.SuperSaint wrote: ↑Sat 18 May 2019 5:07pmVery poor for senior players

Any journalist with half a brain could fill a truck load of sliding doors with the saints this year. Parker, Lonie, Bruce, Billings, Marshall... Luke hodge nail it. Knob.

Kent to many fumbles. Acres just give him a run on the ball (not ruck). Parker I feel was overawed playing at home today. A well coached side would have won.

Can’t understand Marshall not playing but seriously and massively annoyed with no hunter Clarke. These non-selections have really dropped my interest in the game. New off field set up but same old crap.

Yep disposal an issue, size an issue (lightly framed for AFL). In the VAFA size not a concern as nobody could catch him but even in the VAFA his disposal quality was questioned.

Re: Richo and Monty last night
Does anyone on the forum know what the game plan was? It was really simple apparently which is why Richo had to give Joey the arse. For the life of him Richo couldn't understand what part of "just bomb it into the forward line" Joey didn't understand. Richo even gave his game plan a name ...
