Re: Indigenous Round Jumpers 2015

I agree with Tom Elliott Let's get rid of all themed rounds They are all pretty meaningless I think they are good. We only have one or two now anyway. Why is it that unless it has to do with the diggers or ANZAC we can't get in behind something which is a key aspect of our identity as Australians? ...

Re: Indigenous Round Jumpers 2015

Not sure how it looked on telly but the Lions numbers were virtually invisible The concept is becoming a joke. Even clown suits are taken more seriously. It's time for sensible bloody designs to be put together. No one wants to buy these jerseys. It's embarrassing for the fans, embarrassing for the...

Re: I'm torn...

The guy is just putting out there a view which is understandable but it is a loser's mentality and the moral hazard that comes with rewarding teams for poor performance. It's not moral hazard if it doesn't work. No team has ever tanked to win a flag and the whole AFL industry has decided that it th...

Point is, it doesn't need to be something you'd be proud to wear at your next wedding.
Chances are if you're not into indigenous art there will never be a jumper design you'll like.

Yep we can't afford to go in undersized in defence - Lee or Goddard have to get a run.
Hickey's spot looking vulnerable in my view, apart from a poor showing he had tightness which saw him subbed.

I think good pre match entertainment at Etihad would be watching Citywest being torn............. Apart by lions, tigers or Saints supporters who get more enjoyment by seeing their team competing and winning rather than losing an speculating who they might draft from finshing bottom of the ladder! ...

Re: Indigenous Round Jumpers 2015

St Kilda is Euro Yuroke or Euroe Yroke in the Boon Warrung language. The Kulin are our local indigenous population for St Kilda and interestingly had settled huts along the beach to Albert Park. It a point of contention in land rights claims that they never had settlements with any kind of fixed ho...

Re: Indigenous Round Jumpers 2015

Think it is great that it was designed and represents the Boonwurrung nation. It is such an important part of the history of the Saints heartland and something we should really look to embrace. Would love to see the Boonwurrung elders open the new Moorabin development and even be incorporated into ...

Who are the three that will get dropped! Surely it can't be Acres! Well there is no certain all 4 will come in but I suppose going by the bench it will Hickey or Membery, McKenzie and Templeton. You'd have to think Roo & Lonie are locks to come back in so Templeton and probably Membrey (Hickey ...

Re: The race for Rice

Er.... As far as we should be concerned, this decision is not up to the kid. We take the best available for what we can give. If it works out that the father/son romance all works out, then so be it. If not, then it is what it is. There is a list we need to build here. You're quite right, the ultim...

Re: The race for Rice

Malthouse just threw Trigg under a bus on his way out saying he stole Eddie Betts 18 months before the FA period. Carlton are a rabble. Rice would be crazy to nominate them for anything. If the kid is logical about it he'll pick the Saints. If his decision is based on emotion it will be Carlscum. O...

Can't see him picking us especially as he is a Carlton supporter. The chance to play for the team you barracked for as a kid...are you kidding me? Who wouldn't jump at that? He won't care what state they're in at present. Questions are: Where is Carlton on their father-son dilemma for the draft? And...

Re: Changes for this week against the Lions

Out: Fisher, Membrey, Templeton, Shenton
In: Lee, Roo, Lonie, Delaney

Not convinced Delaney will play either.
Think Hickey could easily be dropped and Membrey retained but think they will persist.
Membrey is stiff to lose his spot.

Re: Schneider's season

He is definitely in our best 22 and in the best yesterday. You can understand the frustration because not all turnovers are equal, some are more damaging than others and for whatever reason his turnovers seem to noticeably hurt. He gets the ball in really dangerous positions (for the opposition) so ...
