Re: Paddy to be delisted

Paddy has been properly managed with his diabetes. It is his concussions which are the problem. We have lost 4 players in the last 2 years due to concussion. Blaming diabetes is disgusting IMO. jamie Cripps played for us with diabetes. He now has 150 games+ games and a flag. Concussion is a very ser...

Heeney was the best no question.

But he was not available.

True.

Handy footballer.

But he is not elite.

Re: Paddy to be delisted

The overwhelming consensus at the time amongst fans and media alike was that Petracca was the better prospect and IIRC all but 2 clubs had Petracca at one and a few had him at three. Had nothing to do with his diabetes. The concern at the time as per write ups and footage was the concern that his d...

Re: Paddy to be delisted

Paddy could play. He averaged 4.5 marks a game over his 4 years despite lack of continuity in game time due to injury. IMO Paddy is better than Petracca but he was always injured and that is unlikely to change now due to concussion. The risk adverse think we should never have taken Paddy because he ...

Re: The boy Mayo

We recruited Mayo from Claremont 2nds. Interesting we took him rather than go for a ruck at the time. Both Pierce and Longer were gone with concussion. We only had Rowe as a backup and he would be slaughtered at AFL level in the ruck if Marshall had got injured. So someone in the club must believe M...

I do not doubt Geary’s effort and commitment both on field and off field - and his courage can not be questioned But, to be frank, this description applies to every player on an AFL List ........ Re: No.1

PS. How do you think the rest of the players are going to feel when this Hill guy waltzes in and is earning more than everyone else? Probably not as bad as when a broken down DH walked in last year on 5x$800k At least Hill is in his prime and can play a bit. I doubt the players are too worried abou...

And we let players go because we were tight in the salary cap. $800k over 4 or 5 years or whatever the number is to a guy who we recruited and is perpetually injured. Why is our salary cap tight? Yeah Joff I have been saying the same thing since his recruitment but the Ted's , Taker's & Saynta ...

Re: Hannebery broken foot

I'm just glad Hannebery is in the RW&B, his presence on and off the field improves our club. Serious question, how does his presence improve the club on and off the field. On field - 4 games was it? - no material on field effect on team performance - clubs highest paid player (reported $800k) O...

On the contrary it shows both Saints and Geelong recognise Jack has serious problems.

Re: What’s the latest on Jack Steven?

That fact is if he says he 100% wants to go to Geelong then we’ve lost all our bargaining power. This whole thing stinks a bit for me from a player who supposedly loves the club and the boys. What if he wants to live closer to his ex and his child and family support? Should we denigrate a 4 time be...

Re: Longer, Pierce, Rowe gone

Love it. Longer was terrible. His best year BY FAR was 2017 where he played 17 games for an average of 1 kick, 2 goals for the year and yes he averaged 39 hit outs in a team that finished 14th. That was his best. His 2015 was terrible Hickey’s best season coincided with our best season of the entir...

Hopefully Richo was the problem and a new coach will be enough for him to want to stay.
