Re: tom mitchell
His dad despises the Saints and the two of them are on a cosy deal at the Swans. Barry's departure from Carlton was hardly fairy tale so I doubt he will leave and if he does would be surprised if it was to go to Carlton.

Re: Looking forward and Positive
The stockpiling will mean that eventually some really good players become disgruntled at the lack of opportunity and look elsewhere. There is no reason any will hold any loyalty unless they get a chance to play. If you were a top 10 or even top 20 draft pick and were languishing in a very B grade N...

Re: Looking forward and Positive
If that's the case we'll need to do some serious trading because the kids will take a little more time than that to go past Joey. I think you could be underrating some of our kids. Steven is A list and Armo a B, Dunstan and Billings have all the look of A grade already along with Newnes. Joey could...

Message to Roo and team
Lower your bloody eyes.
Billings makes space continually on the lead and gets ignored. There are options other than Stanley out there, Roo of any player should know that we cannot be predictable in forward entries. If you want the kid to develop then honour his hard work

Maybe Joey and Gilbert aren't in retirement zone but I am hoping that in two years time they will no longer be in the best 22

Our backline is really taking shape. My projections in the next few years. Delaney, Shenton, Bruce, Dempster, Geary, Roberton (allowing Murdoch, Webster and Saunders to rotate through if required) Centres Steven, Armo, Dunstan, Newnes, Billings, Murdoch, Acres, Curran, Wright, Weller, Ross(jury out)...

The old Man hates St.Kilda and the son is at the swans as a real Father and son deal if you get my meaning.

Re: VFL RD 4- Sandringham vs Casey
See Lee didn't kick a goal and many saying he was poor. Yet had more touches than Weller ( the new Tommy Walsh?) Good to see white get some touches and goals in dev squad. Maybe he will get a game in Zebs 1's next week Rapped for Acres You can only comment on what you see. I think Weller has a pres...

Re: VFL RD 4- Sandringham vs Casey
Thought Markworth was very good today. Mav to mind was BOG. Cannot wait to see him lay those sort of tackles in the seniors. Very Lenny like in his tenacity. Backline was really good today but made to look good also by the effort of Casey. Shenton, Dylan and Simpkin all played a good role for the te...

Re: Congrats to the club
As my original post said, the club are really on the front foot. A lot of coverage from Colorado. Everyone at the club I have spoken to is positive. This is going to be ultra important in the next few years of transition and the club seem to be doing everything right.

Congrats to the club
So far the most comprehensive off season I can remember.
Often you would go from the draft through to nab cub with scarcely a peep. Feeling well informed and part of the Saints going forward.

Re: Sliding Doors
I just hope we're not the club that discovers if you trade all your 'currency' away, you have nothing to hold the team together. Interesting. If I was a NDS or a Joey I would see it as an opportunity to get the Saints something and them something at the end of their careers. I love the adage that y...

Sliding Doors
Sliding Doors, free agency and the big unknown. I am concerned. We are being dismissed as almost the side that was. Yet decisions that were made and are being made can be seen to have two distinct paths. Depending, of course, which side you look at. Ross Lyon. The fans were divided, the gate receipt...

You only have to look at the respect the Saints players have for Ross and Ross has for the players. Time to move on, the players and Ross have.

Agree Enrico, but a well deserved pat on the back all the same. When he had to hit someone on the chest he did, A couple of great low passes hit targets including Roo.

Re: Dogs/Saints
To me 2015 should be a turnaround year like 2003. 2016 should see us up and about with the young guys now having 50-100 games under the belt. Our issue will be that we are rising as GWS and GC will be at their peak, and I expect their peak to be pretty high. At least there are constant cycles of clu...

Re: Sponsor function Sunday - Sandy vs Bendigo
My daughter and her friend attended in my absence, much to my own disappointment. They had a great time and had the two Jacks on her table. She said they were a good laugh and really good guys. I think her favourite moment, other than the numerous photos, was Newnes deciding he was not going to eat ...

Re: Watters performance
Spot on. Lack of midfield rotations is killing us late in games. Ross and Ledger for the rest of the year in place of TDL and Millera IMO and then run them through the centre as well. Pretty hard to tell from the bar but Stanley left back to long IMO and if we play 3 smalls again i will spew up. Don...

Surprised not more has been said about Shenton. Every time I have watched him i have been super impressed. Dunell must play I also thought that Siposs played a team role especially in the last. I just wish he had more intensity in his game as he seems to wait for the game to come to him Just watched...
