Re: Picks 23 and 36

Twomey has us taking Battle or SPP and he is usually fairly accurate. Ridley could also suit us. Local lad. Dempster and Gilbo won't be around forever. I noticed today that Sheehan has rated Sam McLarty @ 23 -Tall, mobile defender who can take a good pack park ! his Rating for #22 is Andrew McGrath...

Wins Wanted against Collies, Blues & esselon

SMS wrote:Ive got us at 13 Wins.

MUST WIN GAMES
- melbournex2
- hawks
- wce at home
Personally I'm swapping melbournex2 for
Carlton & Collingwood and then Melbx2 as a bonus.

Ah well thinking with my heart but it can be easily done
just go along to see St. Kilda in Preliminary Final 1 :D

Well done to Sinclair & good luck to him

I think it's a good sign to see Jack S. taking it on himself to be fit enough to win the time trail.
Coming into 2017 Jack could be of the mind that he'll be as prepared as he can be to take opportunities when they present.
Keep at it Jack, it's great to see you out there really going for it. :D

I'd Like 2 win rounds 4, 8 & 17 for starters

& then 6, 9, 13, 18, 20, 22.
Winning all the above would make 9 very pleasing wins but another 5 is needed to get to that respectable number 14!
fingers crossed.

Picks 23 & 36

Witherton & P.P. mentioned on a couple of phantom drafts (around #23). They both seem like likely picks for us with our focus on mid-field depth. I wonder how Witherton is rated by those @ the Geelong Falcons given the large number of players picked from there over recent years by AFL clubs ? On...

Cam O'Shea

Goose is king I tend to agree, AR has an impressive history of getting the best out of players exiting other clubs for us Sainters. O'Shea could well go onto greater & better things with AR in his corner. Coming back to Victoria could also help Cam successfully settle into the red, black & w...

Loved watching Chips play defence for St.Kilda

Sam has been one of my favourite players to watch in recent times. I will miss Sam's defensive skill set including his awareness, intercept marking and safe delivery out of defence.
All the best for the future Sam and thank-you for your very valuable contribution to St. Kilda Football Club. :)

Potential Irish Recruits

I can recall back in the Plugger/Harvey/Loewe era an Irish player called Dermot McNicholl getting a run with the Saints @ Moorabbin. Only registered a couple of games but better was to follow. Next arrivals were Jim Stynes (Brownlow Medalist 1991) & Sean Wight who were both valuable players for ...

SAINTS vs DEES FIRST UP AT THE DOME

Saints vs Demons with a view of the sky and 40,000 fans to signal a new era of bigger crowds @ The Dome. I expect the Dees to keep improving like us/ could be a classic encounter. It would of coarse be sweet indeed to get those 4 points. Also looking fwd. to Dunstan, McCartin & Hickey being fit ...

Luke Dunstan Stayin Alive

I stated a fair bit that Luke has sacrificed his own game to play the defensive midfield. He had a body beyond his years that enabled us to play him in that role rather than recruit an older hard bodied mid that did not fit our age demographic .. Now with this years recruits Luke will be able to de...

Why have all the so-called ITK's disappeared at such an important time????? Makes me wonder????? Patience, grasshopper. Even if Ameet and trout themselves were posting on here, they'd get more calls wrong, than right. IIRC, Bevo used to have a list of 60 or more names of players from other clubs on...

I'm Wondering if we will still be looking for another mid over a tall defender - be it via GWS or this years' draft ?
I found today's trading intriguing to say the least.

trade Hickey, Armo and Webster 4 Luke Ball

Would want a top 15 pick or equivalent for Hickey. Armo around a pick 20. Webster around a pick 25. For all three - would want pick 2 Hickey to me seems to be on an upward spiral of improvement and is an incredibly valuable big man in our overall team strategy. I'm picking on Luke Ball in this examp...

Tom Rockliff to St. K ?

Just heard one of KB's commentator buddies suggest that Tom Rockliff wants out of Brisbane and could be on his way to St. Kilda, seemed to think that a lower draft pick would seal the deal.
