If they don't make finals, the Collingwood coach will probably be looking at the Brisbane job while he still has credibility.
He will make sure all the Collingwood boys know how much he loves them before he leaves.

Re: Josh Battle
I'm very confident there is a bigger deal on offer from another club for a shorter term. 6 years is what it will cost.

Re: Arie Schoenmaker to debut?
He won’t play wing He’s been likened to Battle except less defensive than Battle His skill is he reads it well, intercepts well and his leg He could be useful to kick over, stretch zones but he’s not a key defender I don’t think he plays based on like for like If King goes - Caminiti probably Pou t...

Play the kid on the wing. 2 week trial.
Caminti to full forward and Butler in for Henry.

Re: Max King 1 match suspension rough conduct
At least as bad as Webster's hit. Knocked him out, so what if the ball was in the area....he wasn't going for it, and the Swans player was facing the other way. Very interested to see how this is adjudicated It's an illegal act. Front on. First thing is a free kick, then 4 weeks minimum should foll...

Re: Max King 1 match suspension rough conduct
Wright left the ground He’s gone 4 at minimum Only thing that saved him from more is he’s facing the ball unlike Webster The club ought to kick up a real stink about this behind the scenes if he gets off with a couple. As far as I am concerned, the ground rules have been set and there must be consi...

Re: Crab watch
Bonner is much better at clearing the ball from defence Sinclair is Sinclair and Nas is already a better player. Is Billings a half back incognito?

Re: Crab watch
When you run with Billings, who will drop of the play or lead up hard into defence, he gets less kick and more handballs. He is a possession chaser, but 20 metres kicks and handballs under pressure arent the trade marks of a great linking play maker. They are a waste of time and allow defence to set...

Re: Crab watch
I'm just looking at the form and stats. Played regularly under the jab, was the problem. Ratten questioned it and Lyon stopped it.

Richo's game plan was designed to give Billings and Newnes the ball. It was terribly flawed.

CQ SAINT: "Higgins get a goal game. Billings could but is also an unreliable kick but clearly not as reliable as Higgins. I assume you meant to say that Billings was more reliable a kick on goal than Higgins. I can't be bothered looking up the stats but my impression is that Billings makes a f...

Re: Crab watch
It's amazing how much hatred there is still for Billings on fan forums (and presumably among many St Kilda fans). It wasn't his fault that he got picked ahead of Bontempelli: if he'd been taken with a second round pick, he'd probably be a fan favourite. He's never going to be a superstar, but I wou...

Re: Crab watch
Another interesting comparison with high half forwards would be Jack Higgins. Higgins get a goal game. Billings could but is also an unreliable kick but clearly not as reliable as Higgins. Billings get 6 more kicks a game and I've heard about this reputation of setting up forward with inside 50's. R...

Re: Crab watch
Billings had opportunities at end of last season and should have been primed, for an experienced player, to wind up and play finals Round 17 re-injured Round 19 poor Round 20 poor. Billings was clearly hampered by injury but it's not like he wasn't given a chance. In round 20 on the 30th of July we ...

Marcus Windhager's centre clearance work had nothing to do with it of course. Centre clearances make a significant difference, previously, the problem being if Marshall doesn't follow-up in the middle, we lose the ball.

Re: Marcus Windhager
Daicos is needs time and space, if he hasn't got the advantage of hanging off the ball with easy recieves, he is literally useless.
So many of their players ducking out the back for an easy kick to a block or rebound.
Collingwood are no where near fit enough to keep up with us.

52 Clearances evened up with 64 clangers. Hunter is a ball chaser with great touch, under pressure he is cool but slow and not physical.

Re: Hunter Clark is injured again and looking at 6 weeks...
Hunter has the ability to think quick in tight, it also appears he lacks awareness. His skills on both feet are good but not consistent. Injury time doesn't bring stats but can effect continuence, skills other people dont exhibit might mean continuence wouldn't matter but Id suggest fitness levels v...

Re: Hunter Clark is injured again and looking at 6 weeks...
I dont think anyone underestimates his courage. He doesn't play half back because we have Nasiah and Sincs, who both impact games regularly. He is a decent footballer who hasn't fully hit his straps. I'll agree with that. Perhaps injury has held him back. Perhaps it's his fitness and endurance. Soun...

Re: Hunter Clark is injured again and looking at 6 weeks...
Richmond had a similar issue with Dylan Grimes. Kept getting injured. For three years it was one soft tissue after another. But they persisted with him because they knew he was a talent. Eventually, it turned around and he became a highly rated defender who helped them win three premierships Clark ...

Re: Membrey tells his story
Well done Tim, extremely brave interview. Some of the comments on here at the time of the GWS final regarding Tim were beyond disgusting, truly the lowest this place has sunk. A self proclaimed ITK even claimed he knew the real story and Tim would never play for the club again due to his "self...
