Re: Early Days - Jaeger O'Meara
Having read the tweet now it brings things into perspective Anderson didnt just randomly align O'Meara with St.Kilda, he just tipped the Saints would be a front runner if he was leaving GCS. Fairly obvious. Just means we will be aggressive. Lets hope O'Meara has an injury free run at the year. If we...

Re: Early Days - Jaeger O'Meara
Front runners??? That race hasn't even started yet. Interesting timing. Does it make us more attractive this year? Of course it does. But geez that is a massive call. I figure its meant to encourage Carlisle??? I know planning is important but this falls into the category of prospecting at this stag...

Re: Jake Carlisle
Wont be long now and we will know. If he nominates us then that's it. If he doesn't we should move on.

Re: Jake Carlisle
I wouldn't worry too much about his form in 2014/15. Its obvious his welfare and Essendon's lake of game plan never sat well with his form. WADA wont do s*** and I expect that they are just running Essendon's ragged reputation into the ground. Fines and minimal suspension at most, if anything. Its f...

Geez. I dont really wanna see him banned either. He is childish and irrational but not offensive. No harm done on my behalf.

Re: Why Paddy_ Emma Quayle Book- exerpt
McCartin was picked to be a top player over 10+ years. Nothing I saw this year tells me that won't happen. Great hands Natural footballer 2nd efforts Good at ground level for a player of his size. Looking forward to watching his career as a Saint. Fair enough but when are no1 picks not picked as 10...

Jansen and McCartin are 2 completely separate threads. In a childish attempt to cover up your if, but, maybe philosophies drawn straight from news media BS you have been able to link the 2 together to try and annoy me. You cant. Jansen is unrealised talent. Brisbane Lions (an AFL football club) loo...

Re: Why Paddy_ Emma Quayle Book- exerpt
Footy may be fickle but it is not unrealistic. The "I'll bag you until you prove me wrong" attitude is so cynical and quite immature. The guy played as a stay at home forward for Vic Country where they play one-on-one footy which is totally different from the demands of senior footy. Not ...

Our previous 2 number one picks have been genuine stars. I trust, and will stick with our recruiters. Trolls and school kids views on our recruiting don't interest me. I give them little credence. Our 2 previous No 1 Stars were picked well over a decade ago by completely different personal. Just sa...

Re: Why Paddy_ Emma Quayle Book- exerpt
His best game was a fair one and he showed little a bit. Unfortunately, it was against Melb who are an elite VFL side at best. And to think they beat many more sides than us above them on the ladder. I think people potting him after one season when it was obvious that he clearly wasn't ready either...

Re: Jarrad Jansen.
This thread is about Jarrad Jansen. I think he would have been a better choice than Freeman because he is developing his craft now not avoiding hamstring injuries and looking for a payrise. Technically Jansen could play in any part of the field against a multitude of body shapes. He is strong and f...

Re: Jarrad Jansen.
This is the kind of guy we could rookie. But is he one of the best midfielders in the VFL? To make it in the AFL you need to be one of the top mids in the VFL at age 20. Barlow is a great example of a bloke who was very big and still playing VFL at 21. But when he was 21 he dominated the VFL. Is th...
