I'm not sure, the guy is turning 23 soon and in his recent games he's averages 10 disposals per game, 3 tackles and a handful of goals… we have plenty of guys that can do that on our list already.
What is it that he is good at, aside from running fast?

Re: Squad vs Essendon
Generally the fault of Lee and/or Minchington and/or Acres when the whole team plays pathetically like last week.

If we don't get out-coached and out-worked that would be a good result.

Re: Goodbye Mr Chips?
Fisher would be no chance to go on after re-injuring himself and will now miss basically half the season.
He's turning 34 next week, we need to move on.

Re: Need for speed
The Hawks and Cats seem to have always looked for a sprinkling of A grade indigenous talent with speed. Port and Essendon also succeeded with a mix of flashy indigenous brilliance with speed. I reckon firstly that St Kilda looks at a longer term plan. You not only have to think about recruiting but...

Re: Next Week
The problem we have is we don't know which players to dump after a smashing win. It's easy to do in hindsight but getting clearer now we need to at times swing the axe and rest some players who mentally can't keep doing it more than 2 or 3 weeks in a row. GWS did it well in previous years, and we h...

This is just a putrid attitude towards one of our players.saynta wrote:My heart sank when Lee was selected.
He may well not make it, but this loss certainly wasn't his fault.
So poor to bag a player like Lee after this pathetic effort from the club.

Don't know how we managed to score this kid but he looks like he will be an absolute ripper. Loved when he sold Dangerfield candy. Good list management to secure Carlisle and Gresham for pick 5! Pick 5 and our second rounder...but still excellent work if Carlisle comes good! History still being re-...

Re: Credit where due
Happy to credit the coaches with a great win so long as we can also credit them when we are abysmal instead of blaming a few fringe players.
Everything clicked last night and it was a superb effort, looking forward to seeing that kind of performance consistently in the next few years.

Re: Team v Bombers
Membrey's built up a few credits over the past month. Kicked a bag against Melbourne and three against North. Can't say the same for Lonie. The past month? he'd only played 2 games prior to that debacle last week. Acres was the rising star 2 weeks ago. Lonie was BOG in the VFL last week, gets one g...

Re: Ray picked to play his first North Game
You watch him go on and play another 50-100 quality games. Good player and good luck to him no way he'll get another 100 Well we do know that age will be no barrier at North. They have an octogenarian playing for them. Actually their aged policy is going rather well for them. Another 5 years for th...

Re: Team v Bombers
I looked at the stats. Sinclair, Acres and Lonie picked up eight possessions each last week. Tough gig being a small forward in a hammering like that. I've got high hopes for all three but I feel we are a little small as a side and need more grunt. Well that applies to Sinclair and particularly Lon...

Might turn it around, but doesn't cop ANY criticism, ever....players cop it plenty Incredible really, seems untouchable to most fans while sporting a terrible record… 12 wins from 52 matches - equal 18th with Leppitsch. He's had a pretty ordinary list but he'll need to start winning games consisten...

Re: VFL Rd 5 Sandringham vs Pies Sat 7th -Live STREAM
There is no other way to look at this except to be very positive. Sandy pantsed Richmond last week and pantsed the Pies this week. This indicates our depth is a LOT better than those two clubs. Young guys like Paddy, Eli, Pierce, Murdoch would be getting games at other clubs. The fact that White, R...

He says potential 'once in a generation' and it's a pretty fair early call.Griggsy wrote:Let's wait until they retain hogan, and before calling him a once in a generation player before he becomes one. And I'll bank on improvement in our midfield before they fix their problem areas.

If you take out the players over the age of 30 I would say Melbourne probably are closer to building a premiership side right at the moment.

Message to Tommy Lee. Start thinking about 2017. Freo or Claremont? That is very harsh considering he played well in both senior games Sorry. Slight misinterpretation. I personally didnt think he should have been dropped. I think he played well. Cameron kicked 5 from 62 f50 entries and Lee was drop...

Re: 10/11 wins for the season is not unreasonable
Considering we could be 4-2 rather than 2-4, the OP is not unreasonable. We are a half decent side when we turn up. Just gotta learn to turn up every week Surely you're not counting round 1 as a game we should have won. Why not? We were 21 points up closing on three quarter time and had outplayed P...
