Re: Dean Kent injured at training
Big loss if he misses. Played every game and one of our best this year. I didn't like him from the start - absolute front runner. He got "up" to play well against his old team but seriously, he misses easy goals (like the rest of the team), No great pace, doesn't give us anything outside ...

"We need to be strong at the contest" "That was really pleasing" "We butchered the ball going forward" What are his other favourites? He’s a ripper, Brucie. What’s important is how we respond next week. We’ll review that strongly. We got smashed in the contest. I’m bul...

Many worse than him I think Ive found the pattern in your posts t- #1 disagree with poster somehow. #2 seem like the only person with their finger on the pulse. #3 wait for someone to say something else you can disagree with. Boring, predictable and self righteous. Find some humility - you might fi...

How about drafting someone that is injury free to start with.....? Is that too much to ask? Take a diabetic, one whose back is stuffed and one with an ACL Honestly, take someone that is fit!!! Ive got a feeling were gonna get done by quite a lot. Gold Coast seem to be playing well within themselves and our players look like they're looking forward to the flight home.

Any new coach would drop Newnes, never play Armo in the ones, move our best kickers into the middle of the ground and employ a new forward coach.

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
We have a game plan that would suit a tall forward set up... but we go with a small forward set up.... I don’t understand How would it suit a tall forward line? No key forward in 100 years has been able to outmark 4 defenders consistently. The obsession with junk small forwards... Saad, Dennis-Lane...

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
And as I predicted, the players affected by the virus have very little left. This would have had a massive impact - I think we need to reserve some of our harsh criticism. We’re playing in China because our administration has been poor over the past 10 years. Our first time there. Can’t expect a se...

Gresh trying to chase the gets a kick off the ground while being tackled and she calls play on get her the duck off. I said the same thing / she also missed Darling throwing the ball 10 metres forward and getting a ‘play on’ the woman is hopeless!!! Eagles win the flag they wear blue - they can’t m...

Kicking skills
Gotta day - aside from some ordinary shots at goal - our kicking skills were incredible yesterday. Reminded me of Hawthorn dissecting the opposition defence in some plays.

Re: Match Thread. Saints V Hawks Rd 4 2019
Bottom of the stats sheet are Bruce Membrey Parker and Kent - that’s what’s happening.
Positives are tackling and our deep defence which has saved us getting smashed every week with their endeavour and tackling. If Riewoldt was playing we’d be 5 goals up.

Re: COFFIELD
Goddard took about 5 years to find his feet in the AFL. Maybe we need to understand that most gun players develop into great players over time. The exceptions are the ones that have instant impact in their first year. Many of those flatline for the remainder of their career. That’s why coaches are o...

I was thinking that earlier today. Coffield Clark are two half backs - midfield play is an art. It’s like trying to turn a forward into a ruck - it takes a long time.

Re: Acres
My thoughts on Acres Pros: keeps his feet very well. Uses his height well at times. Is a decent set shot when he gets one. Is quick off the mark and evades tackles well for someone his size. Cons: consistently kicks over the head of the intended target. Not smart at putting the ball into the best sp...

Re: Changes v Hawks
What I think the changes SHOULD be - Out: Parker (needs to keep his feet on the ground) Kent (2 bad games out of 3 - needs to find the goals at Sandy) Sinclair - Defensively has improved - has low confidence offensively for someone so skilled. In: Young (plenty of goals in the praccy matches and a p...
