Not quite the poem I hoped to share
The opening quarter was our worst nightmare

At least we showed some grit and fight
A few correction can put things right

Our boys they play with heart and pride
But need to think more clearly to be a finals side

Round 20

It was pleasing to see all the little things
That meant our team clipped the Eagles wings

With the game in the balance and the scores so tight
Our boys stood strong and were up for the fight

I support the Saints with spirit and pride
Cos we are a gutsy and improving side

Round 19
We played with spirit from the start
Till a late power surge broke our heart

If we are to have the success we yearn
There's a simple lesson we need to learn

From the tallest ruck to the smallest rover
The game ain't over until it's over

A learning experience from the bloods so tough
Around the contest we're not yet good enough

Another question that may seem obtuse
Are we guilty of football over use

We need to be cleaner and a more direct team

At quarter time I got a text from me mate
