Re: Best 22 without trades
Decent side.
I personally don't think we can have Dunstan, Armitage, Steele and Koby Stevens in the same side if all fit and ready. At least 1 of them would miss as all way to similar in game style and position.

Re: Bains misses out on AFL gig
Don't be suprised if Ameet and co have a plan in the works for an established star (that hasn't been discussed) that a club might need to offload for salary cap space or the player wants to play in Melbourne. 2 x top 10 picks to trade will get it done. I think we all have been caught up on J Kelly ...

Its looking more and more likely by the day Kelly will re-sign with GWS. No big dog for the Saints this year unless there is a plan for a player we have no idea about yet.

Parkeysainter only joined a month ago, already I have him in the Paddy Dangerfield class of poster. Re: 2017....WHAT WAS IT?
Just another year really. 1 game out of the 8. Mid table battlers that were very good but very poor some rounds.
Still think our list improved this year and developed well. Its the best its been since 2011 imo.

Re: We Need a Gun Up Forward
Just give Paddy a good three years. Its worth the risk and wait after using pick 1. We've already given him three years. 22 games and 22 goals isn't a hell of a lot of progress. He has spent 2/3 of that period either playing with Sandy or injured. This is real reason for concern. Would have been gr...

Re: Suck s...t Jordan Lewis
That cocky little Bugg posting that Instagram pic and then giving out cheap shots all his career...c'mon, seriously. This kid obviously grew up living his life through Facebook, instagram, twitter, etc. What a flog sock. Absolute poetic justice after the Melbourne players were giving it to Saints pl...

Re: Newnes
I don't think anyone believe Newness had a stellar season. It wasn't poor either. Just solid and it reflects his ability. I'm bemused people are talking of delisting him or putting him up for trade like he is no good. Newnes is a reliable leader of the club and obviously sets a high bar for profess...

Just give Paddy a good three years. Its worth the risk and wait after using pick 1. Seriously...you only need to look at Steven, Armitage, Ross (prime example!) and even Billings and Dustan as recent examples. Sure there are others. It can take a player a good 4 to 7 years to come good and reliable....

Re: We Need a Gun Up Forward
We won something like 8 out of 11 games when all three of Rooey, Bruce and Membrey played but when one of those was missing we didn't win any games from 8 attempts (or they said something like that on SEN). We DO need a gun up forward now that Rooey has retired. Agreed. Would be great but they don'...

Re: We Need a Gun Up Forward
Give Paddy a chance. He is 21 and in his 3rd year of goddam footy. He has had rotten luck. Give him another 3 years to prove himself when fit. Bruce and Membrey are still good forwards and young. They will at least give you 30-50 goals a season. Is it really just 'luck'? I heard the same thing abou...

What a bunch of tragics.
The fact that the 1st poster remembers Lazar's knee to this day 20 years back is hilarious (not having a go at you either 1st poster).

Thank god we didn't recruit him. Dodged a major bullet. Carlton gave up a bit for him. Bolton is a good coach and would have noticed that from Day 1.

Re: Who reviews the coaches' performance?
Tipping the board, pres and CEO reports and reviews on Richo directly as a whole. Also tipping they would get an outside source to do same at the end of each season. Tipping the leadership group gets involved too somehow and reports on every coach. For the assistants its very possible Richo reports ...

Never got to see either. No suprise I guess.
Jasksch got cut from the Blues also. I remember we were trying to nab him but he chose Carlton over us. Former no 12 pick. Lucky miss.
