Re: This can be the difference a new coach makes
What part of "Richo is not a coaches arsehole" dont you understand? He's no good, his record is poor and getting worse every week.

Re: Hunter Clarke is our best player.
Bit early to make him a tagger but it worked, still seems a bit slow. Thats what happens when you put young blokes in and leave out the duds you keep pushing for all the time. Move Lonie out for good, move weller on and then you have a fresh young team on the up. Get bruce , carlisle and acres in an...

Re: Moral Victory - Proud of the boys tonight - Respect!
yes, they did take their foot off the pedal but nonetheless that would be the saints best last quarter of the year, butchered the ball 2/3 times going forward which might have got us very very close.

There were a couple of bad decisions but we still butchered the ball going forward.

Re: Lots of positives today
Bunch of fools....wasting membership money. Bains/Pelchen have gone, just need Elshaugh to go and we can start fresh by hiring the best recruiter in the land. I heard we have spent 900k on Freeman, use that money going forward on recruiting, we would get better value. But really I dont have much fai...

Re: Lots of positives today
I would like to see some pass marks for the club and some players. Put your scrawny necks on the line for once. Paddy 25+goals, Billings ....more goals this year than Petracca, even though Petracca has missed a few, Newnes...1 tackle a game for the rest of the year and last but not least....Richo......

Re: Is Billings our Fiora?
Better than Fiora for sure but he needs to get his kicking boots on and starting kicking goals or hitting blokes on the chest a few times a game and I mean impact kicks not dinky s*** sideways picking up 20 "touches" as they call it.

Re: Lots of positives today
Hannam isnt in the reserves !!!! and Tyson has played 6 games this year. Your still making excuses for the club. 15 top ten picks seems a little bit more gilding of the lily as well. This is the team Melbourne have right now and the picks roughly align with saints as for games played so why do you k...

Billings can end all this by kicking a couple a week right up to the end of the season.

Re: In Weller Marshall out Carlisle Dunstan
He is overweight and unfit because the club allows him to be and he doesnt appear to take his lack of fitness as seriously as others. The was a lot of noise about how fit he was at the start of the year. Playing Weller is a mistake, he has not got the fire in the belly this year, I am not sure what ...

The only captain with a worse win/loss ratio Flagless was Billy Shaw our inaugural club captain in 1897 and a star wingman. Was captain for 29 games without success, bet he didnt go to ground easy though

Re: We're on Track
Good point adamski- pointing out the obvious. He has the rest of the year to prove us all wrong which is what we want. takeaway , you probably got no idea about tracks but you are dead right in one aspect. In a previous post I reckon if the saints dont show some fight this year, then they are in the...

Re: Injuries, on the block and on the cusp
c'mon cairnsman, he is finished as a senior midfielder. He has done his job over the years with 158 games, injuries caught up with him, he has no pace and his disposal is poor. Watch him play and what I say is then justified. Why play him? Put one of the young blokes in.

Re: We're on Track
I support them, go to the game when I can and watch every game on TV but I am not going to get on here and bulls*** about how good we are going to be next year with this current list. The club needs drastic rejuvenation in all areas and it needs to be starting now. The board said that we are top 4 m...

Re: Injuries, on the block and on the cusp
If armitage plays against the eagles god help us, that is why the club cops so much criticism on this website and others. They only have themselves to blame. A lot of supporters are dropping off from what I am hearing. I wonder if the players read these posts or get any feedback?

Re: Lots of positives today
I compare to Melbourne because most posters talk about McCartin vs Petracca. If McCartin was the most dominant forward in the country I would have hated to see the rest, he doesnt even have a natural kicking action which would give him accuracy and distance. Who are you trying to kid? I would have P...

Re: Phillips reminds me of....
Trouble is that jack Stevens gets tagged and that then retards our ball use from the centre and we lose any run and carry that we have, apart from Webster in the half back line. This then allows the opposition back line to man up the saints. Sometimes the opposition get careless and allow gresh a bi...

Re: We're on Track
Probably summed it up sydney sainter. Some the crap that has gone on with the saints over the past 5 years is bordering on criminal. Posters have drilled down and highlighted the issues we have but this forum continues to get other posters living in a dreamworld where they reckon McCartin, Dunstan a...

Re: Cam Guthrie
Cant believe saints have spent 900k on Freeman, is that correct? If so what has the money been spent on?
Guthrie would be twice as good as the current crop of saints midfielders except for Jack Stevens. I cant see Guthrie coming to the saints.

yeah Rodger, adamski has asked the right question, what is this middle aged thing? Most importantly that list you gave...ha...only one topliner in it. And you asked the wrong one regarding other teams rebuilds. Melbourne so far have got the right mix of good players although the season is only half ...

Start answering your own questions crossy66 and then you might get some specifics. Stop making excuses and give us some examples of your mate Trouts good recruiting since he has been in the job then and balance it out by some of the good players we have missed out on and be specific.

Re: Phillips reminds me of....
Hunt has dropped off a bit and been dropped twice from a strong melbourne unit, if he cant get a regular Demons game he may be the type of player we can get but I am over this rabble of a recruiting team at St Kilda who would not even know Hunt was alive. To the point, I cant think of player like Ph...

Probably right skeptic, they are not a good match in the same team. I dont know anything about Pierce so can't comment. It looks like Marshall then. If we are not in front at quarter time it will get bloody ugly, very quickly.

Re: Injuries, on the block and on the cusp
Bruce is a handy player in my opinion, has kicked 50 goals in a season, dropped off a bit but can take a mark and a better kick than some of the guys playing now thats for sure. Should never pick Armitage and Gilbert again. Acres and Roberton should be welcome additions. Not sure why Freeman keeps g...
