Heart attack, stroke.

Sudden cancer
Thanks. That’s sad when a stage 4 type cancer is discovered when it’s too late to do anytime

Re: Paddy to be delisted

Concussions aside Paddy still could not reach AFL standard fitness, therefore made little impact. No doubt his diabetes had some bearing on his inability to get an AFL body Exactly. And most likely due to his inability to get fit he was more prone to get hit as he couldn’t avoid the knocks as easil...

Re: Jack Newnes

Interesting that we give a pick & 3 year contract to a fringe player from a dud club like Melbourne and let Newnes go for nothing. Is Newnes the answer to our climb up the ladder? Probably not, but he’s a better more flexible and respected (IMO) player and club man than Kent & probably Butl...

Sounds like a perfect replacement for Freeman to me as a delisted FA: The midfielder has endured a cursed injury run, most notably the fractured neck he sustained last year but including a broken fibula and syndesmosis damage to an ankle at training in 2019. That latest setback ended his season afte...

Does a higher quality midfield then make life a lot easier for our defence and make a stronger case for Brown??

It's impossible to nominate a captain without knowing what the team is trying to stand for. What are our values? What is saints footy 2020? It’s a serious attempt at playing finals in 2020 IMO. Everything should be moving in that direction and that’s the sole aim. The peanut gallery is inpatient an...

He’s only 20 and only 192cm - so really just the height of tallish midfielder not a key forward (same height as Acres - so maybe replacing him)

Re: Nathan Brown to sign on for 2020

Social media says NJB ready to sign on for a year. Great news. Tough and has heart Yep, very good news - guy tries his nads off and is very reliable against the bigger forwards. Totally agree. Never gets much stats (spoils don't count). But always keeps his opponent quiet. Gives his all. Plays the ...

Re: All the picks AFLW Draft

The AFLW has been an intersting exercise over the last few years. Until now, I have had very little interest in it after the very first game. This is for a number of reasons. 1. We've never had a team before now. 2. The standard of the competiton. 3. The manic over promotion of the game. Now we hav...

Re: So what was it with Brandon White?

It doesn’t matter if any other club drafts White or Rice. The fact that White spent as long as he did on our list and couldn’t get opportunity despite performance has painted him as damaged goods. A choice btw a promising kid versus a guy that was in a team that didn’t finish higher than 10th for 6...
