Re: Interesting selection
Did I call this or what... The new agenda is to prove that Richo wasn’t so bad after all. Apparently after his 6 year tenure, new coach had until the first round of selection on Thursday night post the Monday resignation to prove things could be done better The new coach got the same problems that ...

Re: Hannebury - Indefinite
Hey HM, thank you for your considered response. I did attempt to reply yesterday but somewhere between when I logged back on and hit submit I got banned. I agree with your points on Ratten and think he would be a fine choice. Thought he was pretty decent at Carlton... his results were okay consider...

Re: Skrobolak new Forward coach
Please quote where I mentioned being an expert? I gave an opinion, which you can debate if you want. You started with the name calling, which says a little more about you really... and got personal, nice touch. But surely you must be better than me, given you can call me out and get personal with a...

Re: Rob Harvey in the running for head coach role
Sounds like Harves knocked you back for an autograph. There really has to be a reason for your angst. Kicking over jam tins, thank god Hawthorn, the Dogs & Geelong didn't use that prerequisite. Mick Nolan could be running (?) out of goal square at the moment and our mids would not even see him,...

Dropping Sebby sought of would be something some fans would be crying out for...well some of the pelicans on SS that is.
And just a small correction, we didn't get rid of AR, he resigned.

When THE Saints favorite son died I was devastated, For him, his family and because he was going to coach the Saints to their second premiership When the Doc was forced to quite, I was disappointed, but I realised he wasn't going to be our saviour When Watson quite, I was relieved. Re: Sack the Coach (revisited)
We have a chance to bring someone in as Senior Assistant on big money if we re-jig the assistants contacts and roles. This senior assistant should be told that they will become Senior Coach in 2020 and Richo will become Coaching Director. For 2019 and 2020 they should work together to rebuild the g...

They will need to be really good in press conferences, have selection integrity and not allow bombs into the F50.

Re: Peta Searle in the mix?
I’m sure she knows her stuff, but prefer someone who has played the game at the highest level Yeah, like Chris Fagan!! Oh wait a minute...... Chris Fagan's tenure at BLFC is interesting viewing at present. Probably a front runner for coach of the year. How many AFL coaches have there been who never...

Re: Hannebury - Indefinite
To be honest HM, hard to really know given the absence of info. A few ppl have some qualities that I admire but that’s about it. My only real preference is not to get Brad Scott because IMO it’s not the right look. It would reek of boys club (which there already is a perception of) and a 10yr coach...

Re: Hannebury - Indefinite
Disagree. Lethers is good for the club. He has brought in a number of good appointments. E.g. the assistants last year We need a bit of mongrel. Lethers looks like he wants to get s*** sorted at Moorabbin. One thing that has been immensely painful over the last 18mths... Moreover here on this forum...

Re: Skrobolak new Forward coach
Seriously! A lower level Ruckman, former part time Ruck coach is now an AFL Forwards coach. How many games at the level, how many games as a Forward at the level?! This is a long with a former Ruckman being the Mids coach And a former gun mid being the Forward coach?! Here’s a thought Have experts ...

and his goal kicking was poor so we will still bomb it into the forward line. How quickly people forget. Harvey became the master of the 30 m pass to the lead up forward or player in space in our forward line. You hear the term now of lower the eyes. Players like Banger would have inspired that ter...

Re: Ratten on caretaker role
Seems to have indicated that a couple of young players will get a game....Good And isn't this exactly why you can get a spike in performance, Carlton and North are a perfect example, has very little to do with the caretaker coaches changing things like game plans. In actual fact you would be mad to...

Re: Rob Harvey in the running for head coach role
I hate Harvey already as a coach. He will be terrible in press conferences and his goal kicking was poor so we will still bomb it into the forward line. Although our bombs should be from within 35m from goal. Maybe ask Plugger how Harves delivered the ball inside 50. Was gonna say that.... CAN SOME...

Re: How many would guarantee Ratten stays on?
The rest of the season will be seeing if there's any improvement in execution, can we win more contested ball, can we get a goal from every 6-7 entries instead of one every 20 entries. Wins won't be the issue, it"s gonna be judged on how close we can be, and technique. Wins will be bonuses. Te...

Re: Do We Have A Rubbish Team And Will A New Coach Make A Difference?
Dan Hanbury. Jake Carlisle Jack Steven Jack steele (underrated gun) Jack Billings All these players would be in the best 22 at any other club. Rowan Marshall is probably our most valuable and best player right now. Dan Hannebery would not be in most teams best 22... it's ridiculous to suggest other...

Wins very relevant and not because of the importance to Rats but important to getting hope for 2020 and starting a winning culture. Yeah I heard that same tripe in the torn thread when arguing against keeping Richo 2 years ago. It was drivel then and is now. Play the long game, this season is a wri...
