If he can't break the tag, he needs to play on the half forward flank. He should be a lead up player Like Ryan O'Keefe for the swans. Dal has good acceleration of the lead, good hands, and obviously, we would love to have the ball in his hands around the F50... He would be really damaging in this ro...

McEvoy again in best for Casey - should have been given a go - told to go out, do your best, learn from the experience - both he & the club would benefit! No I disagree, whilst Rix is a hack, what would've been the point in putting McEvoy at 18 up against two monsters in game played at Adelaide...

Re: Kicking for Goal

How often do u say when we're lining up geez i don't think he'll kick this. I say it when the following have the ball in there hands. Milne (set shot) Used to be our safest shot for goal, yes, even a set shot! 2003: 26G,19B 2004: 46, 22 2005: 61, 20 2006: 29, 29 2007: 32, 22 2008:11, 10 What's happ...

Gehrig didn't kick any goals.

Although that's not to say that he didn't take a few grabs 10m out and just handball them off...hopefully his defensive pressure was better than earlier this year.

disappointing loss for the scorpions...

From someone at the game:

Tas up by 16points 3/4 time. Tassie are kicking with breeze in last quarter.

Gehrig has 0 goals but has a few assists.

Nothing else to report.

What a load of crap. The author is talking like West Coast are undergoing a massive rebuild and that they need to blow up their list ala Hawthorn 4 years ago. Once they get Priddis back they'll start winning more games, and get the Big Q back in form, they'll start winning more games...they'll be ba...

Name a game that Milne has lost for us? The image of Milne kicking away at th e goals and being selfish is about 5 years ago. If you actually watched any AFL games properly or did any research you would see that Milne would be in the top 2-3 in scoring assists on the team. The press love to portray ...

Re: Kick-Ins

I was at the game, and noticed this myself. Against the 'zone' defence, and without a tall marking target/lead up target, we ALWAYS kick short to the pocket and get cramped up. There was no attempt at a 'HUDDLE' and to get clear. There was also no attempt for the kicker to play on - a basic play fro...

Re: Wheres our Rhys Palmer???

Palmer, Josh Hill, Rioli, Selwood et al..all stepped into AFL footy from Day 1 like they were born to play it. Us?? We have blokes who are "coming along nicely". You analysis is overly simplistic. Palmer is a GUN... Hill hasn't stepped up from day 1 - he couldn't get a game with the Rabbl...

Goddard will slot back into the backline and can play third tall (sharing duties with Raph). Gilbert isn't big enough to play KP in the backline. Drop NEITHER and free Gilbo up to the wing where he played some of his best footy last year. You can only have one of J Blake or L Fisher in the team (eve...

Selection has nothing to do with Softness - its about team balance and matchups. Fiora is gonna play his best footy at the Dome, and Jones' disposal is poor.

Very stiff on both players, especially after Charlie's good pre-season form and CJ's ballys mark last week. But the reality is that we are inching closer to our best 22 and we want 10 people in the VFL pushing for spots. I hope that Rapha keeps getting games. I know he's maligned around here but he'...

Anyone got any updates on Goddard, and when we think he'll return. From what I've read, he's played 2-3 VFL matches (about 80% game time), his skills have been great and he looks match-fit. Any different interpretations/updates/goss etc? Can't wait to have BJ back in the side! Did the saints train t...

no way Gilbert gets dropped. Currently he is being played as the third tall, but he is more suited to a HBF or wing (tall runner position-3rd man up). When Maguire/Goddard are back in, this will release him up the ground. He is about 5000% better than Raph, and should be a 200 game player for this c...

He played average, and Goddard will come into the team for him, which is a MASSIVE upgrade on Raph. Nothin against the guy, but when he has the ball I cannot relax.
