Re: SEN listeners don’t rate us 📻

Gold Coast I dread to think -four first-rounders! I can’t hate GCS enough. They still haven’t made finals after 14 years (a far worse record than the Brisbane Bears). Yet the AFL still molly coddles them and insists that the Gold Coast has a future for the game. They should have been relocated to T...

Re: SEN listeners don’t rate us 📻

Those with a good memory will remember after the 08 finals series that everyone predicted that we would slide down the ladder. We finished top 4 by smashing the bombers reserves team by over 100 points in the last game of the H&A season to win either 13 or 14 games. It was a very average group ...

Re: SEN listeners don’t rate us 📻

Ross said it so many times last year, the competition is so even. To slide from 6th to 14th would only require a few tweaks the wrong way, some injuries, or even luck. By the same token, we were about the same distance away from top 2. When you look at list profile we are definitely on the rise rat...

Re: SEN listeners don’t rate us 📻

I do agree we were lucky to make finals in '23. We peaked in that narrow loss to Collingwood and by mid-May, after the Adelaide debacle, we were on the slide. However, we seemed to hang on and hang on thanks partly to other results and having a crack. I think we might be better next year if injurie...

Re: Best teams

So what is the status ofJack Hayes now? Still on the list? According to Tony74 yesterday, Hayes is injured, again. If this is true then put a line through him. Put him on the LTI list and grab a smokey in the mid season draft if there is one. There is no room for sentiment. Good plan. Now that all ...

Not sure we can count on Membrey again I'd like to see us develop the young blokes together into a unit King and Caminiti - Key talls Sharman and Owens - Mid sized marking Phillipou Higgins - Mid - Small forwards Keeler and Collard off the bench All 24 or under, most are under 21 I would also inclu...

Re: Darragh Joyce watch

Joyce had just 8 disposals and scored a miserable 22 in AF in last night's game, but, just as he did quite a bit when he played for St Kilda, he gave away 5 free kicks, a couple of which resulted in goals. Andrews gave away just 1 free...... It says a lot about the quality of the Brisbane Lions lis...

Is that a demotion for Lenny? Probably more a reflection on the type of players just recruited recently, and the specific skills they will need to play in the big boys game. Goddard is getting developed, more likely. Have a look at you go Mr PR spin man, always thinking on ya feet, I recon you coul...

I can also assure you

Not as agile
They are both 193cm. That is all.

Re: Saints, Sandy and injuries.

Was having a look at where our players might sit across both clubs come round 1. We have a good range of depth but as we all know our absolute top end isn't as strong as some of the contending clubs. Do we have any delayed preseasons or injuries as far as anyone here is aware? Saints FB Webster How...

We should never had got rid of Bytel. In the right environment he will be a gun. When you consider that Seb Ross is nearly 31 the decision to delist Bytel is even more stupid than at first glance.

Very difficult decision coming up for RTB and the rest of the coaches this year regarding our forward line. From my perspective the locks are as follows... Option 1. Re: Developing our forward line for a tilt at the premiership...

Keeler and Heath are the future, I don't mind dropping down the ladder a bit if we give them good development time in the senior team. Hayes is depth at this point, sadly for him. I agree. Membrey and Hayes I would say should be depth players from now on. We have to get as many games into Sharman, ...
