Collingwood have a lot of young players to trade. they will probably do something like pendlebury, didak (gosh wouldn't he just slot in with the WCE social/drugs/gangster group) and pick 15/16 as well as a round 2 pick. pendlebury is a solid future midfielder, dudak is about as good a HFF as going ...

A lot of the debate on this thread (and others) is missing the point IMO. If the SFF team wins - as appears likely - it will be because there is a groundswell of support from the ordinary members. If, like me, they have been St Kilda supporters for a long time, they have become totally used to failu...

Well - now we who Glen Casey thought leaked the address list to SFF. The St Kilda staffer in the car-park and he apparently said to her 'I will see you in Jail' Gee, I know that the dodgy consultancy stuff with the Board was a bit of a worry, but I wouldn't have thought that Glen would have expecte...

Maguire's no different to Judd, and Clarke hasn't strung 3 quality games together since he was drafted 2 behind Judd, he won't have any "potential" points at 26. WCE would want a Dal Santo a Riewoldt of a Kosi, not a second stringer or two. As the Kerrigans would say "Tell him he is ...

Re: Greg Westaway

JThey have around 5000 proxys in already!! If true, then the silent majority (who are perhaps not accurately represented by the most prominent posters on here) would seem to have spoken against Butterss. I would imagine that there are lots of members with an average age skewed towards the older end...

And what precisely is this pretty meaningnless table meant to indicate????? Games played in itself is a not a measure of success....nor of quality. In the H & A each team plays 22 games with 22 players. You have to field a team of 22 each week......and indeed when you have appalling injury and ...

This has got to be the most tedious discussion topic on Saintsational. There are two diametrically-opposed views among posters on this forum, and never the twain shall meet. All of this stuff about how he can improve his disposal under pressure, etc. is all very well and fine. But, in footballing terms, he's as old as Methuselah. It's too late. If it's a question of his first needing to lift his confidence, and then his skills will follow, I suppose he could be given th...

P.S. I am in favour of all the arguments for not bidding for Judd. But watch out for what happens: I reckon this mob might do anything bar trade Riewoldt for Judd. They are desperate to hang onto their jobs, and may well see getting Judd to the club as the key to maintaining the support of the membe...

For president Eddie McGuire, he would see it as the perfect transition of power. Buckley, the great midfielder of his generation, passing the Sherrin to the present champion. That would appeal to Eddie. "great midfielder of his generation"?        ...

we'll get our premiership when the view of those who make it happen isn't looking outward, it's looking inward, and just working hard for it. It's incredibly cliche, but it's also true. We're not entitled to any more flags than we've got. There's no real reason to believe the '04 or '05 teams would...

If the price was right, why the heck not? He's got loads of talent. Now that Sweeney is gone, there would be an immediate role for him in the Scorpions, with potential for promotion if he goes well there. If Sweeney has been delisted so that CJ can be elevated, or we can recruit some more players as exciting as Birss, then I for one am not going to jump up and down for joy. Surely Carlton will do whatever it takes to get their hands on Judd. Where there's a will there's a way. So I reckon it's highly likely to happen. The statements from the WCE today seemed to me to be broadly accepting that this is what is going to happen. They know he is not right physically, and wo...

If Riewoldt, X, Lenny, Kosi, Bally, Joey, Fiora, Milne and a few others all worked for a few hours a day over the off season on their goalkicking - both from set shots and on the run - that would just about provide enough improvement to take the team all the way to a flag IMO.
