After half time
Crouch 5 possessions
Hill 5 possessions
Phillipou 6 possessions

Re: Game Day R1 2024 Cats V Saints
Steele was very good. We got nothing from Ross and Crouch and that really hurt us. If those two guys had just broken even with their opponents we could have won it. Phillipou is totally flat footed at stoppage and apart from the first 20 minutes was ineffective. You can't win games with the engine r...

Looks like he's last in the pecking order. Been at the club a fair while and now seeing first year players being selected and listed as emergencies. Horrible position to be in. It's going to be really interesting to see how he responds. Will this push him into overdrive and get him playing with the ...

Re: I would like everyone's honest opinion
Smith retired last year and Guthrie is injured, but those other guys are supremely fit and they'll be the freshest they'll be for the whole season. We expect them to slow down but they defy the odds every year. They'll be pumped playing inside their new stands, too. The place will be rocking with Ge...

Re: I would like everyone's honest opinion
I can only recall us winning there once in the past 40 years. I don't see that changing this Saturday. They've had one injury all preseason, Cam Guthrie. We currently have out injured or doubtful for round one due to insufficient conditioning, plus a suspended player Howard Windhager Clark Hayes But...

I'd put Crouch in but I'm not sure if he'll be fit to play.

I hope that money comes out of his own Pocket. Doubt it will, though.
It won't stop him, though. He can't help himself. At his core he is a nasty prick.

Re: Hunter Clark is injured again and looking at 6 weeks...
Before the brutal hit that shattered his face, he'd played some really impressive games at half back, a position I think suits him. Since then he's been tried more through the middle and it's been an adjustment for him, with his aerobic fitness holding him back as well as the obvious psychological i...

Re: Hunter Clark is injured again and looking at 6 weeks...
Richmond had a similar issue with Dylan Grimes. Kept getting injured. For three years it was one soft tissue after another. But they persisted with him because they knew he was a talent. Eventually, it turned around and he became a highly rated defender who helped them win three premierships Clark h...

Clarkson has a long history of this kind of garbage. At last, even the sycophants in the media who've been licking his arse and covering for him for two decades have finally had enough of him.
Everyone in the game knows what a nastyl tosser he is.

Re: Webster appalling
Yes, I'd say that suspensions handed out during Michael Christian's tenure have for the most part been hopelessly inadequate. He should have been moved on three years ago. His appalling failure with the Pickett two week suspension last year should have been the final nail in his coffin. However, it ...

I'm not upset with this penalty. I saw it as 6 weeks when I watched it live. Now.....let's see if the AFL have any balls and any hint of consistency with the next incident. I can almost guarantee that there will once again be wild inconsistencies over the season. They've had no credibility with this...

Re: Webster appalling
Okay Vortex. Maybe it then comes down to adjusting the actual rules of the game. It would help Ban all front on bumps immediately. The only legal bump is a shoulder to shoulder, hip to hip bump when two players are pursuing the ball running in the same direction In all other instances a player can o...

Re: Webster appalling
Vortex, your logic is interesting. The whole point of applying hard penalties is to make a deterrent to players who think they might want a bet each way when an opponent is in a vulnerable position. The whole point is to eliminate these reckless and opportunistic hits on players who are not in a pos...

It has to be Cordy. Schoenmaker is a pup with a lot to learn. It's always tempting to bring in a youngster and I'm keen to see them get a chance, but I think it's best to let Arie develop at Sandy at this stage

Vortex, no one is running knives into Jimmy as a virtue signalling exercise. Remember the hit on Koschitzke by Giansiracusa? Absolutely appalling. One of worst things I've seen done to a player. And what happened? Everyone blamed the victim. And what was the impact on Kosi? Terrible. I was outraged ...

Re: Webster appalling
Agreed Bringbackmaddog The important thing here is to give a big penalty and then use it properly as a precedent for future incidents. If the AFL fails in that consistency from this point forward it will leave it open to future Legal action from players. I can just see it now in court. "You had...

Only two words need to be said to Clarkson...REMEMBER LONDON
The guy is one of the dirtiest stnuc to pull on a boot and he's is a seriously sh*t human being. He's proven that time and again.

Six weeks is about right. That's what I thought immediately upon seeing it. No excuses for Jimmy on this one. Terrible incident.
Giving him 8- 12 weeks will set a difficult precedent for the AFL. It'll make it harder for them to give soft penalties to high profile players they usually look after.

Re: Training Reports
Seb Ross is a solid player. Has got the best out of himself and that's all you want from a guy who plays for your club.
One of the hardest running, hardest working players on the ground for us. In my view, he plays, and until a gun midfielder emerges, his spot is safe.

My focus was on the new guys and I was impressed by all of them Liam Henry is Brad Hill mark 2. Hard running and clever. He's going to add something for sure Bonner was all class. I always liked him at Port. Elite foot skills and quick across the ground. He is equally the best kick now at St Kilda. ...

We were unlucky to Geelong after kicking badly for goal in the first half, and then we got beaten by a juiced up Collingwood. Those human growth hormones work a treat.
