Pretty spot on post. I think it was ineviatable that we would drop off a bit. I don't think we were ever going to completely drop off like some had been expecting but the last few weeks weve been playing pretty good footy, but its been too much in fits and spurts as Ross often says. No doubt there w...

Raph was ok. Not our worst but made a few blunders. I thought against Sydney he was very good until injured but today he looked very much like someone working his way back. However, Gram must be a in this week and Raph is the one who has to make way, despite the fact that he probably hasn't done any...

Was really impressed with him today. He's been fantastic for us this year and up until a few weeks ago I was still a bit uncertain how comfortable I'd be with him in the finals. However, I'm starting to feel much more comfortable with him to the point where I'd be pretty happy to have him down back ...

It's fair to say that he is not at the same level as he was last year but a lot of that has been because he has become second fiddle to Gards. Yet, for me, it is still to early to swap him for McEvoy as he is still quite serviceable and another year mostly in the VFL won't do McEvoy any harm. With r...

Brad Howard was a speculative at #27 but I remember thinking at the time Allen was a good pick at #59. He was an U/18 All Australian who was one of he leading goalkickers in the TAC Cup despite playing some early parts of the season in defence. As a KPP he was always going to take longer than midfie...

Kingy's been great this year and hopefully on the back of a full season this year there's a bit of improvement in him yet. Since he's beent here his attitude has been great and he's been a good leader aound the place too. I love his physicality and the way he flies the flag. He dropped Robbie Campbe...

Most of the analysis thus far has been pretty reasonable. My take on thing is as follows: Delist: Fiora- had enough chances and just doesn't do enough. Not sure on his contract though? Rix- only if Gardiner goes around again Ferguson- competing with C. Gardiner and Charlie's only had one year compar...

I think we probably need inside midfielders more than outside midfielders. While a quick, hard-nosed inside mdifleder wouldn't go astray I think we need more midifeld depth and inside midfielders to improve our clearances as teams umtialtely look quicker if they are winning the stoppages. Furthermor...

While we struggled to move the ball on quickly it was our inability to win the contested ball and the clearances. The best way to beat their zone is to win the ball athe stoppages when it isn't set up. But, more often than not we were launching our attacks from inside D50 which against any quality s...

Its interesting to see Gilham not playing. If Croad doesn't come up, he'll definately come in but I still expected both of them to be picked. Whoever plays of the two, will most likely get Riewoldt leaving only Murphy to take Kosi. Furthermore, this doesn't leave them much opportunity to change shou...

For what it's worth......IMO Out: Allen, Eddy In: Ball, Birss That's what im thinking, but if Ball doesn't come up just Birss for Allen. In regards to Eddy its a toss up between him and McQualter but Mini may get the role in Mitchell. Some are suggesting Armo but his attack on the ball contributes ...

M. Gardiner
What's the go with him? A couple of days he was apparently hanging up the boots and now after barely being seen at Casey for the past month has come in and apparently played a really decent game. From anyone who was there yesterday, can they shed any more light on how he played and how he moved and ...

Ill second that. For me, he was our second our third best and some people need to accept that Jones is clearly in our best 22. One weakness does not mean that you suddenly cannot be in the best 22.bergsone wrote:CJ OUT.........Really must have been watching a different game to the one I was watching

I thought we'd be able to compete a bit better in the middle than we did. We were comprehensively beaten in the clearances and smashed in the contested ball and once this happens you're pretty much doomed. Obviously, no Ball contributed significantly to this as so much of the bullocking work is done...

I don't think we should be making too many changes. I'll be praying to god that Bally can come back, but apart from that I'd only be really looking at bringing in Birss. Of those that may go: - X Clarke- I'd probably look at giving another go as he should be better for the run and has quite a bit of...

Apart from the going to ground and spilling the grab turnover, Raph was good. Gave us run through the middle and stood amongst the poor performances of others. I hope he has turned the corner. I was similarly wuite happy with the way Raph took the game on in the last quarter, albeit when the pressu...
