Well, the consensus on BigFooty among Swans supporters seems to be that if they can snaffle a first round pick for him, they'd take it and run. Seems as if they think his battered body can only take 50-100 games more of AFL footy before packing it in... Hopefully Rossy knows all of this before decid...

All this interest in ruckmen mean two things to me.. 1. That Gardy's foot is not 100% 2. That Kosi is our new FF That being the case, Id reckon the names Brooks and Watts will be bandied around this week as trade. Can we, a team that is screaming out for quick mids, afford to have Gardy, Rix, Brook...

You seriously have to hope we won't go in for Blake unless the offer is seriously skewed in our favour. He's an average ruckman who's not worth that kind of money. Cameron Wood is a vastly superior prospect. I'd rather pick up King for next to nothing than give up heaps for Blake. I'd also be loite...

Best hit-outs to advantage in the league (average 14 per game). Surely our on-ballers would benefit from that. He is only 22, he should be our first choice. For a pick in the 20s (i.e. 2nd round), he would be a steal.

Maybe Ross Lyon's close relationship with Paul Roos can work in our favour? 8-) Seriously though I would really go after this bloke. He is an extremely solid ruckman. Not the best around the ground (i.e. not one GT would go after), but gets his hand on the ball more often than not, as is evident wit...

we should trade kosi we could get so much for him just based on potential 1st round pick + a good player because some sides are needing a ruckman + KPP so badly don't we need a ruckman + KPP player badly  why would we trade him for a player to fill his role who might end up being a dud, like...

Fair dinkum, this is what I mean when I talk about the dwindling quality of posts on this forum. Anyone who thinks we should actively try to shop Maguire around needs to have their head screwed back on. YOU DON'T GO TRADING QUALITY KEY POSITION PLAYERS! He did NOT have a pre-season this year, he cam...

As maligned as Pettifer is, I reckon he would fit in extremely nicely at St Kilda. You saw how well he played yesterday on us. He was a real nuisance in the forward line, and would be an extremely handy 3rd-tall type player that I've alluded to in another post that I think we need. Could be another ...

good post, but your bias against Milne clearly showed our 3rd highest goal kicker for the year, and from what i can recall without reviewing the game, we scored 3 goals directly from passes from Milne, and 2 DIRECTLY from tackles from him since people won't be able to bag Gehrig out everytime we lo...

Thanks for a magnificent analysis Dascman. That's one of the best posts this season. With form like that, it's a shame you don't post more often these days. Cheers Statsman! Again, you are another poster I enjoy reading, and I really would love to post here more often. But with thread after thread ...

Good thoughtful post...one after my own heart  TRADES.... you lost me here though. Perhaps ???? you did not really intend the Saints to be going after so many players.....and instead put upa wishlist of who you would like. So many trades would be destructive... this will be RL's first proper ...

Dascman's Appraisal of 2007

Let me start by saying that I don't post here very often anymore, due to the ever-decreasing standard of posts, coupled with (or mainly due to) the continued hijacking of threads by the pro/anti-GT factions, but as a proud and passionate Saints supporter, I feel this is still the most appropriate fo...

But now I have the story to end all stories. My mate is Lenny Hayes = GOD, who as you may have noticed, was 2nd overall last week. His team was looking like it could/would go all the way. He had one trade left before the round just passed...and Embley got injured, so he was going to trade him this ...

I'm 544th overall. Coming home with a wet sail though. Had a poor start/early-middle of the year, then I kicked into gear, won the sherrin in round 16 with 2,473 as the leading St Kilda supporter (9th highest score of that week overall...and it was a trifecta, I was first, and 2 of my mates in my le...

Correct. Everitt kicked the goal. And the stupid thing I saw was that being the moron that he is, he tried his hardest to hit the roof by slamming it as high as he could because the kick was from the goalsquare.

Well done though. :)

Your turn.

Who kicked St Kilda's first ever goal at Telstra Dome back in 2000? And what was stupid about it? (You don't have to answer this part, I just remember it, so have a stab if you want :))

I'm not here very often so I don't know what has and hasn't been asked.
