If the AFL can't get a guaranteed ruling before the rookie draft surely the club can negotiate an extra spot on the rookie list so it doesn't hinder us taking an extra player in the rookie draft.

Francis Leach is a champion bloke & a die hard Saints supporter. He was one of the big organisers of the SOS concert in 1995 that helped keep our club afloat.

so we should've got him for nithing and kept pick 48 as well. We wouldn't have had a spot on the list - so it's a moot point. would have given the recruiters the option.... if someonre was there they liked, they could have decided it is worth delisting someone... did it last year with Pierce/Winmar...

So after being passed around like a joint during Woodstock in trade week- at tonight's draft GWS actually passed with this selection, effectively gaining no compensation in exchange for Josh Bruce.

I rate Josh - hopefully this can be a great piece of trivia when he wins his 4th flag with the Saints.
