It's pretty easy.
Stuv overkicked.
Carlisle should have marked.
Umpires missed the high contact.
So a regular inside 50 for us.

Re: Votes v Giants
The only person I thought had a genuinely crap game was Acres, who lack of endevour at times cost us a goal or two. Acre's did have a few turnovers, but always because he tried to go forward, I love that he just refuses to take an easy backwards or sideways option. Blake seems to always looks for t...

Re: Players tell Richo his game plan sux.
That is hard to quantify Mbogo. AFL players are judged harshly. For the most part they are very young men. Most captains are in their mid to late 20's. At that age it isn't easy to express a differing opinion to an intimidating coaching panel. Let alone an opinion that would be taken seriously. I do...

Re: Players tell Richo his game plan sux.
Everyone knows, or thinks, that Richo is a good bloke. I think that this is his failing. But maybe in a slightly different way than most. From what I have seen he loves the players. LOVES them. He really seems to be a father figure. Or wants to be. It doesn’t matter, the result is the same. His mind...

Re: Saints big chance v Hawks
I would like to see Dunstan / Steele on Mitchell. And I don’t care if they get smashed. We are still in the education phase and the players we want to move us forward can not be protected from the best. Sure Geary could do the job, but at a cost to our development. Keep bringing the effort and play ...

Recruiting
Hard to answer.
But let’s use St Kilda’s recruitment method.
(Pulls out magic 8 ball)
Signs point to yes.

Re: Recruiting
I think we have recruited a few but ‘game planned’ their talent out of them.
Just look at the under 18 highlights of a few our draft picks.
Could play. Now struggling.

Re: Our first month of football
For me it is that I feel I don’t have anything to cheer, regardless of result. Back in the dark ages we had Barker, Muir, Burns, Cunningham, PLUGGER, Winmar, Buckets, Burkie, Banger, Lenny and Roo pure as pleasure makers. As well as cult and backup figures like Frawley, Narkle, McAdam, Owen, Grant, ...

Re: Match stats v Geelong
I’ve had a think about it, Richo has based his game plan on Pokémon Go.
Just randomly, chaotically, move around an area and something will appear.
Once it does flick madly forward and hope for a capture. I mean goal.

Our first month of football
I know it is hypothesising, but I think players Acres and Billing’s under someone like Clarkson would be busting games wide open. I have especially watched Acre’s about to cover the entire length of the ground in a single play this year and his running ability it amazing. He wants to take the game o...

Re: Team v cats
Acres at full forward. Is that the potential gun or the strategy? You have to go in with a plan and some surprises. When is the last time one of our small forwards kicked 5 goals. Never thought I'd be saying this, but Buckley and Collingwood came up with a good forward strategy 2 weeks running. The...

Sorry but that is a real coaching issue
What’s the point of tall forwards if we won’t use them, you know, in the forward line?

I love Spud, but he is wrong. Family first.
Always.
I love the Saints, but if my family needs me the Saints would be so far down my list of priorities.
Roo having a family member carrying him off at the end of his career is not something to regret, it is something to treasure.
So fu Spud

Re: This pass the ball mentality has to stop
We bomb into 50. Sydney bomb into 50. They just do it without half a dozen peripheral movements of the ball. So their forwards were on straight line runs. When you don't have to change direction, you can jump and attack the ball. Our poor forwards are on 2nd and 3rd movements that don't allow for th...

Re: Dear paddy bashers
I wish they would somehow abolish the numbering system in the draft. Probably impossible. But all these number 1 draft picks have amounted to pretty regular AFL players. No Robert Harveys or Wayne Carey types. Just average players. Some not even average. The amatuerish world of teenage football is ...

Great team win tonight. That fact that I am struggling to find a clear best on ground is brilliant. I have been a Longer knocker for awhile now, but I have to say that I loved his energy at the contest tonight. He used his massive frame really well at times and also really started to throw himself a...

Carlton hasn't been a real team since the draft was introduced.
