Looks like you can moan about it for another 3 years according to Mark Stevens on the HS website.

Re: 6 horse race - one winner

Geelong have only one gimme for the rest of the year (Bulldogs), so I reckon they are the most likely to drop. No more chances for percentage really and every game against the top 8 or contenders (apart from 1),

Re: Boring Wins v Entertaining Losses

Why are we comparing 2009 with 2012? Why not compare 1966 with 2012? 1966 was definitely better too. Football is totally different to last year, let alone 3 years ago. You compare Lyon's best year with Watters' only year, why not compare 2006 (Lyon's first) with 2012 (Watters' first) or even 2011 wi...

Re: Round 8 Team v WCE

Why was Gilbert disgusting last week? Because of the early mistake? He set up a number of goals (including the last one to Stanley as well as Jack's in the 3rd) and he's a defender. How many goals did their key forwards kick again? Why this continual Gilbert bashing? Is it because Raph hasn't made i...

Re: Changes for Hawks game

One from left field. Out: McEvoy, Cripps In: Kosi, Sipposs I don't think Big Mac should be dropped, but of the big guys, maybe he should go first. Kosi and Stanley can ruck against Big Broc and Hale. And Wilkes plays up forward. Last year Kosi did better against Roughy than Ben (although both were p...

Re: Goddard

Not a lot of difference between Jordie McKenzie's game and Ryan Cowley's on Friday night. Never wqatched the ball scragged punched didn't get free kicked. We excuse Judd and get stuck into Cowley, yet excuse McKenzie and get stuck into Goddard. How does that work?

Francis Leach on SEN said he had lunch with Harves today and that he was still undecided what to do. Said he hadn't cracked the sads, but had realised through the selection process that he really wanted to be a senior coach and it was a priority for him now.

Saints weigh up Gram trade

CONTRACTED St Kilda midfielder/defender Jason Gram could today join Carlton if a late bid by the Blues is successful before the 2pm trade deadline. It is understood the Saints are entertaining the prospect of losing Gram for a satisfactory trade swap involving at least one high draft selection. If G...

It was a St Kilda dominated crowd, and it was the Cats supporters who didn't turn up. Trains are difficult at night from Geelong, plus the West Gate roadworks. There was a real lack of opposition supporters in the crowd and that is recognised in this article: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/ca...

SEN gave him BOG also and interviewed him after the game. Their commentary box had Malthouse, Lloyd and Brereton in it.

On another note Malthouse commented positively about players like Dempster, Ray, Gwilt and Jones (stating how Jones has improved his kicking over 2 years).

Gardiner on long term injury list

ST KILDA yesterday placed its veteran ruckman Michael Gardiner on the long-term injury list as he recovers from knee surgery in Europe in January. The earliest the 31-year-old can play a premiership match is round six, potentially paving the way for a rookie-listed player to be upgraded and be elig...

Love to know the rationale.
I think the explanation is that we could have ended up meeting Ess again in the Semi if we played Coll on Friday. We had to move to the other side of the draw as with the Swans.
