Bring back the lap of the cheer squad holding the blanket so we can throw coins at them.

Why do people want to trade Longer?

He carried our ruck last year and has only been sidelined because he battled injury this year. The club was keen to re-sign him so he must be valued internally. You reckon other clubs will be jumping over each other to get him if we don't want him?

Re: Alan Richardson on Coaches Box- Fri22nd

Ah Bratty, its so easy for the young ones. First I am working full-time in Beijing. Google, Facebook, Twitter, SnapChat, etc are all blocked. And beyond that I do not use social media. I tried it but found it tiresome and time-consuming for very little benefit. But that's an old person's point-of-v...

I'd rather make a duck in Test cricket than a ton in z-grade. I cannot believe some people don't want us to be the best we can be and make finals.

I work with a North fan who says they'll "start ironing out St Kilda players" if they start losing.

I'd like to see them try.

I thought the same thing for the first time today but then I remembered Geelong has a recruit who's going ok too.

That is all so true. I was a part-time runner for Sandy's development squad a few years ago and I thought I had a decent understanding of the game but learnt so much during that time.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Demons @ Edihad Round 17

Someone just brought to my attention that umpire number 12 is the same one who had a problem with us from the Hawthorn game. Can anyone confirm that? Yes, that is correct and I was just about to say the same thing. Thanks. That umpire should never again be allowed to officiate in a game involving us.

An x-factor. Someone who can turn/blow a close game open in 15 minutes.

Saints theme for the masses ...

A jazz band pulls over to the side of the road and plays some music - including When The Saints Go Marching In - for some cows in a paddock. They love it!

Beating the likes of Richmond and Melbourne will help because that will deny them the wins they need as well as improving our own position. Still, a lot else would need to go right. The fact it's still mathematically possible is something at least.

This is where the football media is out of touch because I was watching the game with a lot of non-Saints supporters (I had something on I couldn't get out of) and all of them - including the ones I didn't know - were on our side during the game and really impressed and congratulatory afterwards. At half time it was a ridiculous 10.24 to 10.3 , and 25.41 to 16.7 at the final siren. Both Matthews...

I reckon it should be our call as the home team to have what we want as a home ground advantage. If we want it open, stuff what the AFL says. They've done bugger all for us so far as that ground is concerned.

In 2 minds if I'm a attending tomorrow's game. Jack Steven said after the loss that: “we didn’t turn up”.  No s*** Jack. Maybe I just won’t turn up either. Scott Thompson’s late replacement, Matt Crouch got 17 touches in the first quarter.  Did he just decide to turn up did he Jack? We're not turni...

One of his nicknames as a player was "Kid" and he was a thug so I reckon we can call him kid basher. He reminds me of a Ramones' song with the lyrics "beat on the brat with a baseball bat".

Re: Ross Lyon recruiting finally getting smelly?

I've said for years his style of coaching is like driving a Formula One car with the handbrake on. He built on what Grant Thomas had established and helped get us close for a couple of years, but we were never allowed to play to our full potential. I reckon it cost us because when you create so few ...
