Does Lonie have a nickname?
If not it should be Jack Russell or Terrier because I reckon he plays like a big dog in a little dog's body. Love the way he goes about it.

Re: Just F*** Off Umpire
We had North Melbourne people sitting behind us and we could hear them talking among themselves. They were saying we would've been in front had it not been for the umpires.
What do we have to do?

Re: 20 years ago. Trevor Barker. RIP
This was posted on the VFL Footy in the 1980s Facebook page on Tuesday's anniversary. It's 20 years ago today since St Kilda legend Trevor Barker passed away. We posted something similar on what would've been his birthday last year, but we thought this occasion needed to be recognised as well. They ...

According to this article and a number of others it was Anzac Day.

Re: Disappointing Crowd?
A bigger crowd would've been nicer for lots of reasons - money for the club, a taste of things to come for the younger players, general atmosphere - but I reckon our boos at their cheap frees and goals drowned out their cheers.

Re: Open Mike - St Kilda's troubled history
Not that I was there obviously, but knowing what I do of our history I reckon for a lot of it we were like a teenage boy about to experience something for the first time - I'll let you guess what. We got over excited when success was close and ended up shooting ourselves in the foot. After we broke ...

I'm wondering if the coach has a soft spot for Geary because he can see a bit of himself in the way he goes about it.

They beat us that night because we were the walking wounded that game. Wasn't that the game where Neitz kept kicking goals out of his arse from outside the 50 Metre line? Maybe. I can't remember. But Melbourne and all the moron football media types were cockahoop about the gutsy comeback win and ho...

They've been talking about that for some years now. By the time the deal ends the stadium will be about 25 years old and Waverley didn't go for much longer than that before it was sold off for reevelopment.

Didn't a number of our players meet up with him overseas to remind him they made a pact that they weren't leaving the club until they finished what they set out to do? He was paid a lot and made captain at one stage but chose not to stick around. He did what he could to put other teams off - refusin...

Just an observation ... Compare the way we, as a group of supporters, have dealt with the Carlisle story compared with the way the fans at Drug Cheats handled that disgraceful situation. By and large there has been condemnation with varying degrees of discipline called for, whereas they continued to...
