Really good, interesting posts covering both sides of the coin. I subscribe to the theory that you can have all the skill and ability in the world, but it means little unless you've got the courage, discipline and work ethic to put it into practice. Spider Everitt is a classic example of that. He ma...

It is a boys club with occasional mentions of a game of football that they can see out of their window. They never let the play get in the way of a good anecdote. Cometti has become the bore at a party who seems to have rehearsed his one-liners in the mirror the night before. Hilarious. Yes,...

Ross Lyon has taught me something. Rookie coach + list that can play isn't going to work unless the coach and list's styles mesh. Post 2k6, I would have thought our skillsets would let us play any gamestyle someone could come up with. F&%$ was I wrong. Most coaching changes are made at a time t...

Yes he is a bitter old so-and-so. He symbolises/epitomises the problem with the game today i.e. its earnestness. I haven't read his stuff regularly for years, and on the occaisions I do these days, he's always seems to be calling on someone to resign for something. Pffft. The article is wrong in a n...

They didn't do it for that long. It was after a reasonable effort (if not skill level) for 95 percent of the game. It is the perfect time to try something in a game situation, as opposed to at training.
There's nothing wrong with booing. As long as it's justified.

Like My Les Foote said, the only stat that matters to me is the final score.

Wasn't that the game Balme got sacked after as well?
He got sacked a little later in the year, but it was that game when Gutnick got on the radio at half time and said changes needed to be made.

We played Melbourne in what was widely described as a battle for the wooden spoon. That's all I'll say. You either get it, or you don't.
Enough talk. Time to prove a point.

My dad never followed St Kilda. In fact he never followed league football. He's in his 70s and still prefers local footy. But he's always said Baldock was the best player he's ever seen.

Good Post, BJ at FF.. Not bad (at least he won't miss). Thanks mate. My point exactly. Who replaces him down back? As the loose man? I like S Fisher or X Clarke because they tread the game OK, but Gram is also an option, and as I said earlier, people around the place are talking about Luke Miles as...

Allen isnt play well enough at the moment. You need to play young guys when in form. Maybe I missed what happened on Sunday but Kosi was one of the best playing forward and Roo is the best forward at the club. We should play to our strengths not try create things like making Goddard who a good back...

A short term fix that could work long term.

As filthy as I am about our current predicament, I've always been a fan of the saying "Don't curse the darkness. Light a candle." In other words, stop whinging about our problems (though I've been guilty of that lately, don't you worry) and start doing something to fix them. So here goes.....

Pffft ... Speculative piece of opinion crap from a columnist. Who cares what he reckons? It's no different to when Craig "Just drive, Fatboy" Hutchison writes Richmond should make a play for Nick Riewoldt. Funny how we give it weight, though, when it's in our favour.

Maybe Blake can go back into defence and BJ can move into the midfield. I'm not sure if they'll throw him in the deepend in his first game back, though. really good problem to have, would rather see BJ play on a wing then down back, has been playing as a ruck rover for the scorps and there is no reason why he can't be a damaging winger who floats back into defence. not sure who to drop from the team but I would lean towards dropping king, play kosi...
