I wouldn't be surprised if he took over the role Hamill played. The forward there to run around, crash into opponents and clear paths for other blokes, create extra defensive pressure to keep the ball inside 50, and generally put the fear of God into anyone wearing an opposition jumper who goes near...

Just wondering ... one of my favorite sayings is that in a fight between a big dog and a little dog over a scrap of food, back the hungry one. Given that the Tigers need a good start more than we do - our focus is on a bigger, more valuable prize - I'm not sure what to expect.

Roo is certainly the public face of the club and would be good from a promotional point of view but like a couple of others have mentioned, Lenny is Voss-like on-field and has more spit to go with his polish than Riewoldt, if that makes sense. I'd give it to Lenny but we - and the premiership cup - ...

Yipper, that is one of the most encouraging and heartning articles on the StKFC I have seen in years. Augers well for a top 2 finish this year. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Yes, it was real confidence booster. Written by a journo who hasn't always been kind to us. And can write speculation-as-fact a lit...

Yes, I remember that. There was also something about a lady in the grass with an awkwardly-placed garden implement. Also something about a member of the constabulary, who had a lot of hair on a certain part of his anatomy, entering the picture.

I know that's done in the right spirit, but I was trying to get a little more mongrel into it rather than self-deprecating humour or put downs.

Hey Richter, I apologise for being off topic but you're namesake is one of Melbourne's leading QC's who's defending a man in a Supreme Court trial as we speak. The prosecutor in that case is Mark Gamble, who's an ex St Kilda player!

i thought the slogan was "together we are one" ? Yeah, that's what I thought too. Jeez, I hope not. That's weak and cliched. How does that separate us from any other sporting club or organisation, at any level, around Australia? I still don't think we need a slogan but IF we are t...

Harvey through sheer force of will would contribute enough to justify his spot in a Grand Final side, even if he had two dodgy hamstrings and a dislocated shoulder. But let's hope and pray that Banger is fit come the end of September this year so Lyon doesn't have to make that call. http://www.acep...

I would argue Plugger was the best player to wear the #14. He had that number the year he kicked his first ton and won the Brownlow.

If Gary Ablett is allowed in, its basically open slather. Personally, I think people should be admitted based on their footballing exploits and achievements, rather than what sort of bloke they are in real life. Just my view. Yeah, that's a fair call. The only concern I have, though, is that the Ha...

No surprises here: Ball - when fit, he gets the job done irrespective of the absolute pounding he cops in the process. Hayes - a machine who just keeps going hard at the ball or the bloke with it. Dal Santo - sometimes looks like he isn't going flat out and yet always has time and never appears rush...

Surely, if the AFL was keen on promoting the game on the Gold Coast, then it'd allow the Kangaroos to continue to do that. It'd serve two purposes - the AFL gets the best type of publicity up there in the form of games played, while the Kangas get to boost their bank balance. Win-win. But instead, t...

At the end of the day all that matters is CAREY would knock Archer out. I think you will find Archer a lot of huff and puff about him its very easy to act tough on the footy field when you know nothing can be done to you. Look at that twit Heath Black used to run into every scruff and huff and puff...

I know what your saying but I reckon Archer has more mongrel in him and wouldn't necessarily be the better boxer, but the better fighter, which is what I reckon it'd turn into.
