Re: TDL
Seriously, it's not the biggest loser. We don't have the luxury of trialing 4 small fwds all season to see which might take over from Milne

TDL
One of the worst saints recruiting decisions in several years and we have had a few. The absolute last thing we needed was anothe skinny, mercurial fwd. what we needed was the best full back not currently on an afl list. Seriously, what was the point? We already had Milne, Schneider, saad and Milera...

Re: Saints vs North - Match Thread
AFL site has Saad with 3 possessions and Sippos with 6 at the start of the last. Really disappointing game and seasons so far from two players I had high hopes for at the start of the season

Re: Armitage
Very disappointed in Armo. Have been one of his biggest supporters over the years but the time has come where he needs to play consistent football at a high level week in week out. He was great rounds 1&2 but rubbish the last two weeks.
Not. Good. Enough.

To be fair, opportunities for smal forwards are limited and he has to share them four ways

We need to look at recruiting all of these players, convincing some to come out of retirement. Clearly 4 mercurial small forwards in the same team isnt enough. We are ahead of the game for sure, who needs midfield rotations? The key is having mutiple players that have no tackling pressure, limited p...

Re: Jimmy Webster debut?
If hes on fire then get him in the sr side. A weeks enough is it Con. What about players ahead of him. What constitutes being ahead of someone? I'd imagine Ledger was ahead of Wright in general. I know you're talking about consistent form. But if a player is to have a blinder and do all that is ask...

Re: One interesting thing to come
the resruitment of TDL is an absolute mystery. Not sure how many small, light, small engine, mercurial fwd's a team can carry but i would have thought 4 was absolutely plenty (Milne, Saad, Milera and Scheider (not so light)). it was clear to most, well at least me, that last year we were lacking in ...

well he went within a whisker of being AA at half back, intercept marking and breaking lines. has not played there much since and has been no good since. I'd suggest we stick with what he is good at.

Re: Are you excited?
success in the AFL these days depends more on your injury list than just about anything else, at least for the top 12-8 clubs anyway. If you have a good run with injuries, and manage to keep the same team on the park for the majority of games, then you will generally win more than you lose. Its been...

Whoever picks up garlett will be laughing for years to come. In 2020 after his second brownlow, people will be looking back to November 2012 wondering what drugs the collective football world were on (maybe Gary Pert knows) that led them to thinking 18 year old kid could not turn his so called behav...

I'm not Craig Thompson. honestly I'm not. i mean.. i know they are craig thompson's personal details that I registered with and that's his credit card that I paid fees with, and I know it's his phone number used for calls i allegedly made. But I'm not him. its all a big conspiracy.

Re: Tom Lee Traded for our pick 12
FWIW. in the short interview with Tom Lee on the AFL website, he mentioned his surprise at the pick/s that were given up for him. though he would be picked up for a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Said the Saints' confidence in him gives him confidence he can make it worth the early pick.

Zac Dawson. Love him or hate him he was a reasonably good TALL backman. There is a glaring hole in our backline without him and no trade/drafted replacement and it has cost us at least three wins so far. The effort tonight was great, and even with some hopeless kicking for goal and a very poor night...

Re: Armitage still can't manage consistency !
Clearly Marto because he can't mark space. If Armo could have learned to mark space like R Eddy perhaps Lyon would have given him a run in 2009/2010. Luckily we still had eddy to man space, it doesn't man itself you know!

Yep joffa, Ralph's never played a bad game, and Gilbert has dominated this season. Hard to believe we have only won one premiership given every player on our list ever has always been a gun every game ever. Must be the umpires fault.
