Re: Would a merger or relocation be such a bad thing

Not that it means that I think relocation is or wax a good idea But I reckon Fitzroy and South supporters aren’t too unhappy Brisbane 3 premierships and 5 GFs Sydney 2 premierships and 4 GFs There is no way Fitzroy or South would have survived let alone won premierships Relocating never did that! Re: Three Saints fined

I know it was a rule and it cost Corey McKernan a rising star award...And Dustin Fletcher was reported for it, too in the same year...
But it was scrapped as a reportable offence not long after that.
I don't remember it being reintroduced.

Three Saints fined

Butler, Dow, and Battle all fined.

Butler fined for tripping...Since when did tripping by hand become reportable and carry as much weight as an intentional low impact body punch?

Re: Would a merger or relocation be such a bad thing

But ...I think the better analogy would have been to say the physicist walks into a Flat Earth Convention and tries to convince them the Earth is round  8-) Nah. That analogy assumes the premise that the OP is correct. The OP is not correct. Relocations or mergers have not been on the AFL age...

Mids need to be getting their hands on the ball 25-30 times Guns average 30+ There are about five players in the comp that average 30+ Treloar, N Daicos, Serong, Flanders, M Crouch N Martin averages 29.77 and Sheezel 29.9 Flanders, Martin, and Sheezel don't play in the middle much if at all. Grow up. Are we incapable of debating this at a constructive and adult level?
TBH, It's not a debatable topic here...It's akin to going on a physics forum and putting up the topic of the Earth being flat and asking to debate that.

It is a ridiculous post and not warranted here.

Re: Changes at end of the year

Going off current form or history? Currently Battle is matching Wilkie defensively while also offering more with the ball and is more flexible. He is also bigger and 2.5 years younger. It’s not a one or the other, they’re both guns, and losing either would be a monumental mistake. Bit of both. Wilk...

Re: Changes at end of the year

Battle is not a star Never been AA - or in the squad Never won or been podium in a B&F Is a good player though Wilkie is a star Lazy comment, get your head out of the books and watch the game with your eyes, he is critical to the side and in career best form while the rest of the team is going ...

He was their most dangerous forward- that much was obvious Let's be clear, there is nothing obvious about that performance. 1 goal from their most dangerous forward...Explains why they struggled to score for most of the match. In a team that went at 76.7% disposal efficiency for that game, you reck...

You have a very strange definition of excellent!
10 possessions at 40% efficiency. That's a long way from excellent.
His opponent had 13 at 84%.

Hardwick had a trove of talent, playing for a spot, Saints FB goes early, we fluff many chances, Suns hit the front late. Bottom line: we won. Dimma points to an umpiring decision having amnesia about the ride Suns got eg Swallow. It was a good win. This! With the talent in the Gold Coast team they...

One play vs Tigers in Gather Round, in the final few minutes- before his run down tackle. It's at 04:35 remaining in the match. He was chasing a loose ground ball in our D50, ended up prone on the ground between 2 very fast small Tigers. Darcy didn't panic, one of the Tigers went to push him/hold h...

Re: Coaches votes Round 12 vs WCE

Aside from the two late goals just before half time from the Eagles, the first half was pretty even. The Eagles kicked late goals in both the first and second quarters to take a small lead into the breaks. From half time, the Saints were clearly the better team. Stands to reason, then that both coa...

I'm not sure you're identifying some of the attributes of a leader that are just as important as having a 'mouth' Hannebery definitely understands the game.
