that was when bummer thompson famously remarked he felt that st kilda's young players were no better than geelong's (or words to that effect) i didn't believe him at the time because we were travelling so well but history has made me reconsider I still believe that our top line young players are be...

If he plays much this year I would expect it mainly to be as a tall midfield tagger, although if we've got a healthy squad I can't see room for both Dempster and Blake (and Blake will no doubt be selected first). After what I saw last night at the intra-club...Dempster >>> Blake! Very similar style...

We are playing the Swans...and this also means that Blake will play. Why? So Goodes can beat him pointless again? Blake's had one good game where he beat Goodes four years ago (in the wet) but everytime after that he has been no better an option than anyone else. Blake's faults do not go away when ...

Re: Thomas, Saints in stalemate over payment dispute

FACT Thomas sought to include $500,000 bonus when negotiating his last contract if he delivered a premiership The board refused but agreed to a $500,000 bonus on top of the $500,000 he was already on if he delivered two premierships, with this to be paid in the second premiership year ( IMHO Thomas...

The only down side I can see is that we don't have a good record with former Essendon players in coaching positions at St Kilda!

Here's hoping for a change.

These two are great and would pass the AFL criteria of a predominant light colour. And they are heaps better than the faded monstrosity we have now.

I was talking to the President of the Seymour Football Club a few weeks ago at a conference. He told me that this guy was a gun and trained with Carlton. His trouble is that he hates training. No surprises that we are the Melbourne based club with the most interstate away games. We have 6! Geelong, Melbourne, Richmond and the Bulldogs all have 5. Melbourne and the Bulldogs also play home games interstate (but that is their problem). All other teams have four interstate away trips. Every M...

No...you would never receive those draft picks to trade them away. Why wouldn't you receive the picks? ...because you've been penalised! Your punishment is loss of draft picks. IMO, If the AFL decides to punish the Eagles this draft then they could only take away those picks allocated to the Eagles...

You would have to trade players away to get draft picks...or take your picks at the end of the draft.

The problem here is that trading has finished.
