I still think Howard could be a good player. If he attacks the ball like he did against Geelong, he's also got the pace to be even better. But yes some horrible, horrible draft choices there. Like all teams but I think we still have done very well. No team can claim a clean slate of great recruiting.

Player comparisions

Everyone does it they compare players but which ones do think are spot on and which do you think are miles off. For me Collingwood supporters saying Pendlebury draws in comparison to Dalsanto annoys me most.

Why? Looks to have put on a heap of muscle this year, attacked the ball with vigor against Geelong and has pace to burn. Lets just wait and see what happens when he finishes his apprenticeship.

Youve got to remember they are blessed with speedsters like Johnson Peverill Welsh and Watson. No wonder they think other teams mids are slow.

Geary is playing a role that you cant help get possesions, running virtually unaccountable across half back. His disposal is far from that of a play maker and lacks penertration. He coughed the ball up more than a few times on Saturday with panick driven handball. Playing his role his efficently mus...

Hodge plays a lot of his football across half back were he uses his hardness and penertrating kick to set up play. Geary doesnt have the pace to play the running back role. You cant have him and Gram playing attacking roles. Geary was lucky he wasnt pitted against Chapman on Saturday. geary isn't s...

Harvey Dal and X are both types of mids out and inside and you could argue that a fit Ball runs and carries as well as anyone. Geary just doesnt have that one outstanding quality to his game that puts him ahead of a host of others. He hasnt got explosive speed his disposal is good at best and his s...

Blakes problem was illustrated n the weekend when he got the ball in space on the wing. He started to run forward then realised he was being chased on would be run down so he stopped and looked for support. By the time support arrived he was only able to get off a half arsed handball which was part...

Were does he play then? He would be in the back half along with the above players. You will have Max,Chips and Goose as the talls so that leaves 3 spots. Gram youd think is a certainty along with Raph. Gilbert will play across there to. Geary wont rotate in the midfield with Dal Hayes Joey Ball HARV...

Geary is a dime a dozen type player were as Armitage is a pure midfielder. Geary will compete with 6-7 others and unless he has something about him that is far superier he may have to wait his turn. who is he competing with curly? one is an outside mid while the other is an inside mid. Blake. Why hes in our best 22

Watched the replay of the Geelong game again and three individual efforts from Blake show why hes in our best 22. A/ Stood his ground under a hospital pass from Geary on the wing with extreme preaure bearing down on him. He could easily of pulled out let the ball be punched out of play and waved his...

Lucas certainly is a top 5 forward. And if Lloyd can remain injury free he'd be a chance as well. Their goal-to-goal line is as good as anyone's IMO. You can't be serious. He's good but not top 5. I'd still nominate Milney as the weakest tackler on the team from what I've seen so far. I was hoping the Melbourne Storm trainer would have worked the most with Milney as it is an area he really needs to improve on. He does lots of other things well, and let's give him some credit, as he has impro...

Have to agree on this Armitage looks everybit a ready made AFL midfielder hard at it, finds the ball in close and has a penertrating left foot. The thing I like most about him is that hes in where the heat is and is earning his possesions. The comparison between him and Geary are laughable while Gea...

I have serious doubts about Goose. I do not believe he fits into our current gameplan. Whether the gameplan was made without him included is an interesting point, too. He will also lack confidence in his fitness, ability, and also in his leg and foot. I've not set my hopes too high for '08, but hop...
