Re: Footy fix in the USA?

I moved to New Jersey 2 years ago. If you subscribe to AFL site cost was $99 last season. You can see replays of all games & some live games as well. Sometimes unreliable but managed to see most games. Also Fuel TV ( on the east coast) had two games a week packaged into a 2hr highlight package. ...

Mine is unusual . I'm from Sydney & brought up on Rugby League. I started following the Saints in 1965. A guy Frank Bird on TV on Channel 7 in Sydney did the Horse Racing & always mentioned the Saints at the start of the bulletin. Ironically my dad liked the Bombers who the Saints met in the...

Watters coaching style different to Lyon's

I know it is too early to tell but just wondering how other forum members thought how Watters coaching style or gameplan would differ to Lyon's ? Also how how he might go about combatting other teams triple teaming on Riewoldt ? Maybe someone has knowledge of how he coached when he was coaching Subi...

St .Patrick. I feel your pain. I reckon there have been 3 times I thought Saints were home in my life too. 3/4 time in 1971 I was still young enough to think we had it. 1997 when Barry Hall kicked a couple of goals I thinking we can win this. This year when Goddard marked & kicked the goal I tho...

Saints in your city - Sydney

I took my boy along to the kids clinic in Sydney today. Unfortunately due to the wet weather only 35 kids turned up. Saints players were well represented. Lenny Hayes, Sean Dempster, Will Johnston , Blake McGrath, Kade Murphy, Jackson Ferguson & Tommy Walsh were there. Lenny has quite a sense of...

Hi Milan, Had the indignity of seeing our first loss in Rd 11, 2004 after all the Melb fans saw the 10 game winning streak. I copped at work that week . Even people that don't follow Aussie Rules & just the Rugby League were giving it to me. Always love when the Saints beat the Swans. Got a 6yo ...

I was at that game . Arrived just after Caven had been cleaned up by Plugger & thought I'd arrived at a lynching. What a comeback. Always intriged me as how Plugger got on with Caven when he went to the Swans . I remember Wayne Thornborrow had a great game but he never rose to that level again.

Ross Lyon did an excellent job last season to get Saints to win a minor premiership & only lose 3 games the whole season speaks for itself. Without the great Robert Harvey too.The job is not done yet after the disappointment of a grand final loss only a premiership will ease the pain. He makes t...

Bit suprised to see this on AFL site. Think St George winning in 66 & St Kilda too definitely an omen. The Roosters were the last club to go through the season without winning a game in 66. Next season with a new coach they made the top 4. I live in the area & the Roosters were awful this se...

Saints Senis Match

Hi, I'm coming down to Melbourne for the Saints semi but I'm a bit worried about getting a ticket for the match if it is not played at the MCG. Any ideas at this early stage where the game maybe played ? Also how would I go about getting a ticket for a Docklands match as not a Saints member ? Thanks...

Pretty sure his Dad was Frank Misson who opened the bowling for NSW and Australia in the late 50's early 60's. Verdun 66 - You are spot on. Dave used to run 400m Hurdles in around 53 seconds. He is quite a nice guy have spoken to him on a number of occassions as I used to compete in running too. I a...
