Such a creative, damaging force when on his game. We need him.

Brave effort to keep going when injured, still had an impact, too.

I'd consider resting him next week, though. That injury looked bad.

Lenny Hayes - couldn't ask for more

Monumental. The best game he's played since returning from injury. I'm sure it wasn't his statistical best, but his influence and presence was huge. He hasn't quite returned to his 100% capacity, but he wasn't far off it. In our very, very average midfield, he took charge and was a warrior in winnin...

To be fair, TS wasn't much better.

Ferguson has had a great VFL year from all accounts, but yeah, he looked terrible tonight - I was really excited about seeing him play.

His career is hanging by a thread.

Stating the obvious a bit there.

The problem is that it's now not in our hands.

If the winner of Adelaide-Brisbane wins next week, it's game over for us. I don't think that's a great situation to be in.

Firthy, always on the money.

Singo wouldn't have put up with what we dished up in the 2nd half. He knew what the caper was all about.

Looking forward to the bizarre line that "we've never been closer to a premiership then we are now" being repeated somewhere in the coming week.

Birss tried hard but he's hopelessly one paced, too easily brushed off the ball and coughs it up far too much with his indecision and poor execution. I don't know if those are attributes you'd find in any West Coast midfielder. Remember, they won a premiership last year on the strength of their mid...

On the bright side the cricket starts soon lol.
I agree, I'm going to bend over in front of some West Coast fans.

It's just easier not demanding anything from our club, I guess.

We tried hard, but, eugh, I'm sorry - we were up 35-7 and we choked on it when we were supposed to be chasing a finals berth? Seriously, for all the flowery and superfluous adjectives that will be spouted by our oh-there's-always-next-year fans, West Coast were on one knee tonight and we let them ru...

Shocking, shocking game. Looks completely out of his depth at this level. He needs game time so he can learn how to play at this level, but he just seems so out of water when not playing for Casey. Looked directionless and clueless. He was not on his own looking out of his depth tonight... Amen to ...

Fraser works hard, clearly injured and is yesteryears prototype Full Forward, but still a bit harsh.
Lynch is taller and bigger - didn't seem to impede him from working his arse off at every opportunity.

When did Fraser get injured?

They wanted it badly. They have the ability to hit targets. They don't have Jason Blake, Shane Birss, Jayden Attard and Leigh Fisher in their team. They don't have blokes who skirt the contest. They run hard. They run very hard. They run quick and with purpose. They knew what to do at the stoppages....

Unbelievable player. Just drilled us. I don't care about excuses - this guy murdered us and, had I been a neutral fan, it would have been a joy to watch. Watching Jason Blake play on him is probably the wierdest coaching move I've seen in footy. Why would our worst player - who is neither quick nor ...

Cousins - we couldn't cope with him, even at half fitness

An absolute clinic.

The bloke is half fit and he murdered us, execution style.

I could not give a stuff what anyone says about him, he drove a knife through us and we had no answer.

Anyone who understands footy knows he's a champion. No asterisk needed.

Probably went with Mr "7 touches per game" because he seems to be very highly rated at the club for reasons which I personally don't get. But at least it's Attard and not CJ: we must be thankful for small mercies. Spot on - on both fronts. Is it just me or has his 'tagging' completely dro...

Wouldn't it make more sense to chuck out the administration rather than help kill the club? The St Kilda Football Club is NOT Rod Butterss and his cohorts. He has farked this club around with his bullshiit driven personal agenda. He'd prefer to give a weekly blowjob to AFL commissioners rather than...

for many reasons we CAN NOT put any thing on the banner to do with the afl or baker. It's a natural step to take and was my first reaction after the initial decision.

For such an extreme case with such a big hole in it, I would have thought it's a pretty a standard step.

I'd expect the papers to be lodged at Flagstaff very early.

Amazing what crowd figures you can achieve when you are handed ANZAC day and Queens Birthday Monday on a plate every year. Sorry to let your tyres down but the respective clubs made those days what they are. If you want to have a special day for your club, generate one with someone like Hawthorn or...

As a comparison the pies got 44,480 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground when they played Fremantle. Fair benchmark. What scares me about that figure is that we drew 24,000 when our season was on the line and in a perfect football environment - under the roof. Am I missing something here? Didn't we draw...
