Didn't say we're the toughest team, but I rate us as a good hard side, especially with Bally in the guts and not in the stands.

Ahh, but we are a tough team in need of an outside runner.

Re: KOSI

so i think we should get boyle as the mobile forward & seaby (24 200cm) as the ruckmen. You seem to be a real fan of Tim Boyle, but don't you think it would be a mistake bringing in a guy who has severley broken his leg twice and has had soft tissue concerns since? Unless we get him very very c...

I hope they both do play...teams with underdone players seem to get found out in prelims as I recall.

Depends how bad the damage was. If it was only a grade 1 tear to the ligament, then he will play.

Does Eddy keep his spot?

I love the way he goes about it and his endurance is obviously one of the best at the club, but I just thought he struggled a bit on Saturday. Particularly in 1 on 1 contests, he would spill a mark or go to ground too easily. I think the experience of 2 finals would have done him the world of good, ...

Spoil sport! And so when they return, why do they play with strapping?
They're not returning from a muscle strain!

What about when we beat a red hot favourite Melbourne at the start of '07. Sure they went on to be terrible for the next 2 years, but they were coming off a finals series the previous year where they beat us in an Elimination final. From memory we had some key names out too, including Rooey.

Has anyone thought that perhaps after a 6 day break, X just couldn't get up for this game given he missed a heck of a lot of footy this year. No point in playing an outside runner if he can't run hard all game.

Re: The good news about the vision of Luke Ball!

Some may say he is a bit of a vision anyway, but I'm talking here about the helicopter shot of Saints training today. Whilst Luke moved less then the Statue of David in Florence, his hammy was not strapped in any way. Your thoughts? never seen a hammy strapped during rehab/ about to play only seen ...

Kosi will get smashed by Wakelin if he plays FF all game. He has to drift down from the ruck, that's when he takes those big contested grabs he's capable of.

I'm undecided, but it's good to see a close game being played in the warm sun. Hopefully it takes a lot of energy out of these guys for next week.

I always thought that the reason the 3 big guys up front didn't work consistently was becasue we played at TD. On the more open spaces of the 'G, I reckon Roo, Kozi and Frase could be devastating.

Only problem with him coming in this week would be Scarlett - kills him every time with his rebound.

Dare I say it - I hadnt considered it, but could Gilbert go with SJ? He hasthe tank to run up to the wings and through the middle. He's good enough aerially to outmark SJ and run him the other way. Hes quick, hard at it, and strong inthe tackle. The more I think about it, the more I like it. I like...

R. Eddy - Round 22 rising star??

Has the rising star been announced yet?

If not what about Eddy:

- 19 touches
- 5 TACKLES
- 1 Goal and I think 1 assist if memory serves me well.

Would be well deserved for a rookie to come in and not be dropped from a team that has won 8 out of 10 games in the run home.

Good on ya Rob!!!!

Don't know if you could fit the names Adam Goodes, Jamie Charman, Hamish McIntosh and Michael Gardiner all together on one of those.
