But I really want X in the team, because I think he is a very good player and should be put in this week for McQualter. McQualter has been good, and I don't want him dropped, but X is just too good of a player and McQualter is really the only option. like i said, have a look at the tackle stat. we'...

Re: The Fox Report - Round 3

We have some holes in our team . Some battlers. I always used to believe that duds don't play in Premierships. However in recent times we've seen guys like Lewis-Thompson, Seaby, Thurstans, Stokes and many more win flags - so I don't think this is a valid rule anymore. We have a few guys, who ideal...

i'd love to get xavier back into the side; i think he suits this style of game really well, being a hardnut and a good runner with an eye for goal. but who can possibly go out? options are, in order, with average stats: gwilt : 17.0 disp, 4.3 marks, 1.7 i50s, 0 goals, 2.3 tackles blake : 20.0 disp, ...

good player with room to improve. provides something a little different to the rest of our midfielders - goal threat from 50, hard and fast outside running. is often in position to receive and help out through the middle.

has had 4 tackles a game (8th in the team) and 22+ disposals (equal 5th).

i reckon in the first half it was jones easily. in the second half, i gained an appreciation for just how good kerr is, because i think he leveled the scores by the end. he just kept going, all day, and despite having jones on his hammer every time, he still managed to get the ball in close and usua...

No different to any other year. Cool. Respect your opinion. Stats? Hate stats. Just watch the games. its like best players and people go to the stats to pick them. Just watch the game and decide. OK I watched the game and we have more players going up in the ruck than I've ever seen. i'm with you, ...

got your joneses mixed up - sounds like aussie!

so was i right? 25 touches, and if he hadn't kicked badly, woulda had two goals. and this was despite having a shut-down job!

No change, I like it. You really have to earn your spot. The guys who have delivered being rewarded for their performance. and he refuses to even change the emergencies! a man of principle. eddy, begley and mcevoy delivered last week from the stands - they've earned the right to go again this week.

One mustn't criticize other people on grounds where he can't stand perpendicular himself. That's going to reduce the football media to just Matthews, Bucks and Harvs, then. Unless Carey, Ablett and Lockett want to join in. What crap. Just because I don't have an artistic bone in my body doesn't mea...

Kosi - Elite sportsperson that attracts seriously negative attention from invisible internet trash Wow, calm down mate. Your expectations of the kid are way too low if you're happy with a 2008 season every year. He played key forward basically all year and kicked 30.21. I wasn't completely unhappy ...

Ask not what your football club can do for you......but what you can do for the club. that attitude's unlikely to increase membership. not many people want to pay $400 for a adult 16 social club membership and then donate their time on top of that. those who will are in the minority. attracting new...

Let us also remember, the club is still very much using volunteers to perform a number of jobs - perhaps you should volunteer to add content to a members only page if you are dissatisfied i didn't know that the club was using volunteers for this job, but regardless of how much they pay the person w...

it has been around this time that "Kosi" will headbutt a fence, rip a hamstring or belt someone. This is my quote of the year so far... i love it! when he fractured his skull at docklands, we were so glum about the whole thing that we joked that he'd probably fall off the stretcher and do...

We are not going to waste BJ to tag Kerr.... We may even have a player run with Cox after he does the ruck work. Someone like Blake if he hasnt got a good matchup could do that role. blake could definitely run with cox, he has before. otherwise, how about bj running with cox? bj's been third man up...

I reckon his kicking's pretty good, generally, certainly no worse than guys like R Clarke or Gwilt who are thought of as good kicks. In terms of goalkicking specifically, he played every game last year and kicked 20 goals, fifth behind the forwards and much better than any of our other midfielders. ...

Looking Good in April - Worried?

There's no doubt we're looking pretty great at the moment. Commitment, workrate and hardness are exceptional. The only problem with this is that it seems unlikely that we can keep up this pace all year. I'd like to believe that we've turned a mental corner, and we may well have, but it's a long seas...

One minor negative from me - I felt we dominated the game for the first three quarters but the scoreboard didn't really tell the story - anyone else have that vibe? I'd love to see us ping a few more cheap goals, especially from the smalls and a third tall. :) Yep, I definitely agree with this. For...
