I wish Tommy well, however watching all of the reserves games this year,

he wasn't the standout people in this forum believe he was.

Still I hope he has a successful career with the swans.

It's a good article and I've read the same sentiments on here by many

posters to put Roo on the wing or midfield and let him push forward,

finding other avenues to attack.

Just because posters don't like Walls can't write the odd good article.

Buy a top shelf midfielder and use BJ as the extra forward.

Siposs was only averaging 6.5 possessions over his 5 games. I'm not sure

at this stage he is the answer.

What it shows me is how spoilt we were in the 80's and 90's with 4 of the

best forwards to ever play.

Jones was probably the only player to beat his man Sunday. I'm not sure he

deserves the beat down he is getting.

One thing is for sure if Blake had played, there is no way Essendon would

have taken so many uncontested marks in the forward 50.

Looking at the wrong players today. Monty, Goddard, Gilbert, Schneider,

Armo, were the biggest problems or were we watching a different game.

I can't believe the complete idiocy I'm reading. As if Watson would have

gone to fullback. Goddard was tring to get onto Watson, not the other way

around.

50 inside 50's. 30 scoring shots. Half of the set shots. If we kick straight we win comfortably and we are only starting to get into it. Roo , Goddard, Fisher, Gilbert and the like haven't started playing at any Sort of level yet. All were beaten or drew with their opponents last night and Yet we st...

He's been great this year. However he's too short to play key position 188cm

compared to other key backmen around who are around the 192 - 194 cm

mark. He's a flanker who can pinch hit in key position.

I believe the issue is matchups. We have 3 lumbering types in Gardiner,

Mc/King and Kosi - you might even include Dawson in that as well.

Essendon, and Carlton really have one and Port had two.

Team balance is out.

Improvement comes from the youngest 9 players that played on the weekend. All 24 years or less and played an average of 45 games. These guys will keep improving as they get game time, let alone guys like Jones, Fisher learning a new position, Goddard only being 25. I believe there is more to like th...

Stanley did the spectacular in the nab cup but he didn't have any influence

on games. He will get persecuted if he plays and only gets a couple of

possessions.

Peake is one of those players we don't have a lot of, midfieders that can break the lines and kick goals. The reason he didn't get game time at Freo has more to do with Freo player selection than his ability. David Mundy was ordinary this year and still played every game, as did some of their others.

Jason Blake is a far better player than Goose at the moment. He plays on both talls and smalls and rarely gets beaten. Others in the back line get the credit, but playing as a loose man and coming over the top is a lot easier than standing the better players in the comp. Goose didn't dominate in the...

He played loose the whole game. He should have got 30 possessions.

He played a very good second half, but watch the replay and see some of

his forward entries in the 2nd quarter and tell me they were quality.

I would have hoped he hit more targets.

He played two good games in the midfield and one poor game at half

forward. Maybe he needs to play in the midfield to have an impact.

Although I would be inclined to give him or Dempster a shot especially if

it wet.
