King to slow for the modem game

King was a very good ruckman, however he appedars very very slow tonight!

His disposal, taking and endeavour were all shocking! And combined that with poor decision making it was not a good game.

Surely Stanley or Pattison are better options as second ruck.

Raph to FF Hey? A bit left field, however I dont think its such a bad idea. All Raph needs to do is put on about 10kgs and he could be a something special. If you think about if Fev is only 2cm taller however is 15kgs heaver.

Hmmm the possiblities......

New Game Plan????

Why do we continue to handball forwards? and continue to go sideways? On countless times to night we handballed forward to a play in a similar position. Wouldnt it be better to go longer? And how come St.Kilda can not get the ball out of their defensive 50? The next thing we know teams will be delib...

Match Ups vs The Pies

Cant wait to see some of our younger players who now have a full pre-season or two under their belts.

Tutor should put CJ straight to Ball to see how he copes not getting a kick all game.

As as rotate some of our young midfielders through the guts including Rhys and Ben

I think King should also be rested, and we should have a look at the future with Ben as our number 1 ruck and Rhys as our number two!

It would be great to see how these boys stand up to a developed AFL ruckman like Jolly.

So that experience was a great way to forfeit a first round pick!!! It's unfortuate but someone with Lovetts football ability would of made our forward line extremely dynamic!!! :(

SEN reported this morning that Brad Dick did his shoulder. There was no report of a player doing a ACL, so maybe there could be another injury as well.

I hope Lovett spends most of his time on the HFF, and only moves into the mid-field/wing/HBF to loose his tag and assist with rotations. As he has pace, the abilty to read the play and knows where the goals are. He could fill that forward position we have been looking for because he can apply defens...

We picked up Adam Pattison in the draft and I dont think he'll get a game (ever). People forget about one of our rookies Steven Gaertner who is 199cm tall, mobile and fast enough to play anyway!!! There was initially a question over his kicking skills however he was in the best several times last se...

Another speciallist back in the mould of Michael Hurley would be great as it would free up Goddard and Fisher to push into the middle. Andrejs Everitt would of been perfict fit for us, however I feel with him remaining at the dogs Joe Dare maybe able to fill this void He appears to have attacking, a...

You would hope that St.Kilda wold consider Scott Harding, Joel Macdonald, Jason Roe and even have a look at Joel Tippett (dont know much about). Harding could add some pace and depth to our midfield Roe and Macdonald could fit into our back line, releasing fisher, gilbert and goddard to go forwar of...

Glibert seems to be the obvious choice and has all the attributes to play FB, however I wouldnt discount Miles despite being 7cm shorter. From what ive seem he has speed, a leap and reads da play well (a massive bonus). Maguire, Dempster, Cahill and Lynch are all the right hight for a moden day FB, ...

Now It would be foolish of the St.Kilda FC not to offer these Irish recruits the best package they can! This Tommy Walsh sound like we are on the right track.

I only hope that we dont let the Pies and Tigers rain on our Parade!!!!!

I would never want to loose Dal however I may consider a trade that consisted of Didak and a young up and comer such as Wellingham or Goldsack.

I think that makes it a bit more of an interesting trade

Lenny's Injury

Can someone please tell me how didnt the freo player that pulled Lenny's Leg (trip by hand) towards the end of the first quarter, was not at least sited for tripping. And why did St.Kilda make the AFL's aware of the incident? Because despite there being no malice in the incident it appeared intentia...

I actually dont mind this weeks team, we look to have flexability to be able to push players such as Ferguson, blake, Goddard and Kosi forward or back, as well as plenty of players to rotate through the midfield. There is also ome good match up for our backs such as gram on Sherman, as they wont tak...

Sadly, I havent seen much of him either. Now we know he isnt a ball magnet, however does he have the skills and ability to hole down FB? He is about the same height as Glass and only a few kg lighter... I think he could be an option if Maxy is unavaliable....

Thoughts???

I agree Raph is played out of position. He is not a natural backman. I have always felt that in time he could become a very dangerous forward, in a similar mold to Michael O'Loughlin. He does turn the ball over, however is creativity in the forward line would balance this out as he would be creating...
