Re: Cyril McEvoy
I think a fair comparison is Cyril and Raph. Cyril is already miles better than Raph - and Raph has had 4 pre-seasons of fitness conditioning and strength! Saints to need to face the facts that Raph aint going to make it. Cyril proves the point. They are different players with different bodies and ...

I think, for a youngster to be excited about, you can't go past Jack Steven Jack Steven       Has he actually played a single senior game yet? How can you get excited about a player who has only played in the Mickey Mouse club. :?: :?: :?: :?: true. i aint ...

Re: Ok, Who Would you Recruit?
JUDD! we have roo and s fisher is similar to scarlett. sam fisher isnt 1/2 the player scarlett is fisher is a good rebounding defender but scarlett you could rely on him to stay on his man blanket him out of the game and also rebound out of defence ... fisher is a great player but as far as defende...

Then again if we had won in 04 or 05 the word recruiting would never even be mentioned at this point in time. A Wanganeen special and a Big Bad Bazza punch cost us grand final spots in those years. Who seriously doubts we would not have beaten West Coast in 05 given how we owned them in Melbourne b...

Re: Ok, Who Would you Recruit?
Hypothetical.... Jonothan Brown is available at the start of season 2008. So is Judd. And Matthew Scarlett. Who would you sign up if you could only have one? The reason I ask, is that this question often puts into perspective where our list issues actually lie. Do we need J Brown up forward to assi...

Cyril McEvoy
I agree with most people that drawing comparisons with Cyril and McEvoy is unfair and premature. HOWEVER i went to the Hawks game on Sunday in Launie and I am convinced that Cyril is a GUN. Not just the goals, but can the kid tackle and harrass! Very impressive player. I think a fair comparison is C...

and finally Judd isn't doing much good for WCE in 08 having followed the $$$$$ to carlton... so basically of the three for the teams who drafted them on ongoing form. 1. hodge 2. ball 3. judd, sorry following the $$ to the blues. ???? oh so judd who grew up in melbourne with family and friends want...

its not RL or GT. The whole club is to blame. last 5 years have been a disgrace. As i said 1 regular player under 21 has been blooded. That is a disgrace from the CEO to the boot studders. Time to face facts. you cant win a preiership with an annual influx of QUALITY talent. and that requires traini...

I agree that the pace debate is not simple. and often poor disposal and bad decions make u look slow cos u get caught more and turnover more. i htink we lack someone with that iniitial 5-10 metre acceleration then can run out of tight places in stoppages - kerr for instance - although im sure i will...

Re: its not lyons fault

Re: Raph, and Jason
After each game this year I find myself wondering why Raph still makes the team. Clinton Jones is heaps better and has lots more potential. Raph crumbles under pressure and even when hes not under pressure. Also i am beggining to dislike jason blake. he has done so well but he gives away to many ho...

God help Lyon if he plays Milne in the middle to add pace!! right so if that is the case -( i thought he did ok in the midfield a few times.) but ill take your word hes no good. Given the way in which Walls has been unanimously showered with rotten tomatoes on this forum over the past few years, the fact that a few of Barney the Dinosaur's supporters on this forum are looking to use his views to add weight to their defence can only be described as clutching at straws.........

Dal, Ball and Hayes has 22 clearances against Carlton between them. For some reason, RL insists on giving those three as little time on the ball as possible. I can't understand it. Ablett, Bartel and Corey spend most of the time on the ball for Geelong. Why do we unnecessarily disadvantage ourselve...
