I don't know how much credibility this twitter account has, but.... AFL Trade Whisperer @AFLTradeWhisper 2h2 hours ago Here's a morning morsel to get you started; STK said to be quietly confident of securing injured Giant Jack Steele with a third round pick If we get him for pick 46 = very good re...

Re: Dal santo
I'd take Dal back in a heart beat, if it doesn't cost us much in a pick.
Too good a player and very durable. Bring the smooth operator home.
Do similar to Schneider. Happy to give slight tolerance to play the younger players first, but you really should base it on performance.

Re: Jaxons come on down
Just give Longer to Hawks, Hill to Freo, Weller to Saints. Seems fair to me.
Hawks need a 2nd ruck, Hill wants to go to Freo, and we need a Midfielder.
I also hope Eli stays with us btw

Re: Our Shrinking Membership/Following
Stability (why we had to go to Seaford baffles me, I know there were issues with the council and the CEO of the time. Board shuffles and lack of a really strong Chairman. ( I like the current board and CEO) Had a great Coach walk out on us. The school girl fiasco certainly didn't help. So there are...

Re: Round 3 team. Bring out the Minch.
Effort was fine last week. Ball use was atrocious. That's what killed us Ball use was a result of the game plan which was to handball out of the back line and try kick it over the top to get a goal out the back. If we couldn't get it over the top, the idea was to kick it 10-15m away and a turnover ...

Re: Questions re Richo's ability
Agree but we dont have the personnel to run with the footy out of our defence. Joey does it a bit but is always looking for the dinky '1-2' (the Trent Cotchin special) to get his stats up. Savage used to do it but he now just goes backwards every time he gets it. We need D-Mac in the side. Newnes s...

Re: Is Dempster becoming a liability?
I'm happy with Dempster.
Its the rest of the team that's the issue, when the ball comes down all the time.
We are in dire need of a #1 high draft pick midfielder.
What I'd give for Patrick Cripps....

Re: Questions re Richo's ability
Richo's gameplan in Round 1 was the same as Round 2. It is to handball the ball out of the back line (maybe 2-3 handballs), try to break the lines, then kick it over the top and get goals that way. Though it doesn't work well, because.. 1. We handball to players 5m away standing still. 2. After the ...

Out - Roberton (omit), Newnes (suspension), Gresham (omit - not ready) In - Lee, Wright, Acres Roberton isn't lighting the world on fire, neither is Gilbert, and I'd rather see Lee get a go and see what he can do. Newnes stays if he isn't suspended. Acres has to come in for Gresham, he is no where n...

Re: Supporters
I walked home from the game thinking I'd rather much watch Carlton (against Richmond), compared to the game style we tried to play, which was to hand pass the ball 5m to the next teammate who is standing still, only to repeat it two or three more times to break through the line, only then to come un...

Re: Where does Geary fit into the puzzle?
I think Geary should move into the midfield.
Guys like Newness, Webster and Wright should be playing in the back line, alongside Fisher, Dempster, Roberton, Gilbert, Lee
As far as I'm aware Geary has a massive tank, and he works hard, so he should play in the middle or on the wing imo.

Re: Have we gone with too many small guys?
If anyone read the HS today, guezzz, Geelong have like 9 tall decent players all 195+ IIRC Their height will definitely stretch us. I guess they assume the game will slow down, and key position players will become important. We've got: Longer - 201cm Hickey - 201cm Holmes (outside chance to make it...

Re: Reward for cheating
If our playing list is one short, then yes, I would like to be able to fill that list with a rookie player, past player or not.
Its not a matter about if they will make it or not, its about having one more option. I think we are entitled.

Re: Player sponsorship
Sorry if this sounds crazy, but what exactly is the point of sponsoring an AFL listed player? I don't get it. They are paid very well compared to the majority of people out there (including myself). This is different from raising money for a local football club etc with limited funds etc, so what ex...

First of all it was KATE (A GOOD FEW PAGES EARLIER] who mentioned that if the bumbrres are stepping forward for VFL top-up players we should be right in there doing what we can to get some player compensation (ie another player ) for JC being stood down for his previous life indescretions. I suspec...

PROS Carlisle will be fresher for 2017+ and it will prolong his career. We will be realistically going for the flag 2019 onwards. Won't have to pay Carlisle in a year we don't really need him. Essendon are screwed. It will ruin them for 10 years. I hate essendon. sorry. DRAFT 2016: We will have mor...

I distinctly remember a heap of people on here wanting Carlisle, wouldn't be hard to resurrect that thread. Truly and utterly pissed off at those who wanted him. 1. Re: Dear Archie...and well done Finnis!
I couldn't give a rats ass if players like or dislike the location. You either play for the club, play for someone else, or go get a regular job and play local football. Simply basing location as the main source of all our problems is utterly ridiculous. Seaford is not that terrible at all, its righ...

The scarf is not that good.
Just comparing the 09 scarf to the 15 scarf, you can see the quality has dropped, but each to their own.
The white isn't really white enough, but then again, better than nothing.

100% easily Geelong.
I hate Scarlett + Mooney + Johnson with a passion.
Richmond supporters are the worst of the lot in terms of supporter behavior/crowd. They simple boo every free kick paid against them, even when it is clearly there. They are a massive joke.
