The size of the logo is an interesting one also - significantly smaller than that of Linen House, whose sponsorship dollars we know to have been reduced from this year. Linen House has actually increased the $ value of their sponsorship. They are absolutely huge supporters of the club, and would ma...

The press release doesn't do anything to convince me that Centrebet is a Major Sponsor in the old speak, rather it seems to indicate that Centrebet is one of a number of sponsors of equal or similar weight. The size of the logo is an interesting one also - significantly smaller than that of Linen Ho...

Bump. I think we have enough stickies atm but hopefully keeping it on the first page will do the trick. Agree in regard to the stickies and since you mention it: Saintsational Player of the Year 2010 - obsolete Official Fixture 2011 - old news, available everywhere, unnecessary here Posting a New T...

I am not so sure? The term "major sponsor" is well understood and it seems this press release deliberately avoids the term. The release says Centrebet is "*a* major partner" of the Saints. This one may be a well watered-down version of a major sponsorship? Anyone else reading it ...

I guess it is better news than JW withdrawing their sponsorship entirely. I must say I never really saw a natural synergy there between and AFL team and a door manufacturer, for either party. Going forward I would like to see St Kilda associated with a company or product that enhances our own brand,...

What the hell is a "cakewalk" anyway! :?
Apparently some sort of dance done by black african americans during slavery times, with the best dancer awarded a cake as a prize.

Seriously Barks, how many times are you going to raise this? I know it, you know it, you have posted it maybe 20 times. Not much point being a Harry Hindsight. Why not focus on the wins? Gwilt at 70+, Fisher at 50+ etc Or focus on the future and how we can get it done. Luke Miles - now there is a wi...

He is certainly a clear communicator, probably the most assured of the current batch of Saints. The TV stations already love him and are lining him up for a post-career stint in the media. But coaching is just as likely I guess, especially with the sentiments he has outlined in that quote.

BJ - Spiritual Leader

Loved it at the siren: players from both sides, hands on heads, lying on the ground. Spent. Not BJ. Demanding the group to come to him, making the boys stand tall, focusing them on the task ahead, seizing the opportunity to strike the first psychological blow to the Pies in the lead up to GFv2. Ther...

I hate that ticketek site. Entitlement exhausted my fkn arse. If you don't want the allocated tix and want to go back and try for something else, you need to remove the tix from your cart first. If you don't, the tix are being held for you (for the length of your session - 8 mins or so I think) and...

Will be interesting to see how the Swans go back at the MCG. Last time they played there, 7 weeks ago against Melbourne, they were beaten by around 100 points IIRC.

Pies or Cats? Who do you want?

Ok, it maybe a bit premature, but we pretty much know how it is going to go: - swans beat Blues - swans beat Dogs - Saints beat Swans. Saints into GF. Other side of the draw: Cats beat Dockers. Cats play Pies. Who wins? Who do we want to play? However well the Pies go in the meantime, a GF is differ...

The Corridor

Did anyone else get the sense that we were making a concerted effort to use the corridor more on Saturday? I don't have the benefit of a replay and to be honest made no attempt to analyse the match at the time, rather just let it wash over me. But thinking about it now, my memory is that this was th...

Now I might be a touch biased, but this photo proves that BJ's is the best. BJ has to extend to get the ball, whereas Jarrah is in front of his face. I agree 100%. Jurrah ends up taking it at chest height, but Goddard was at full stretch. Should be taken into account that Goddard has an extra 15kg ...
