Re: Hawks fans "Bullshi.t" chant!

I don't want to bring up the match, but didn't our cheer squad at the Punt Rd end bring it up in the 2009 GF after Hawkins' poster?

Great match! We were 0-2 coming up against the 2-0 Pies. First gem we got from Jason Heatley - I think he kicked 5.4 that day.

Re: Kosi(Finished )

Well if it is his time at least kosi went out as an immortal! First ever player to kick a goal in a real AFL match outside of Australia They'll never take that from him - well done kosi! To date, Kosi is also the last man to have captained St Kilda to a premiership of any kind - he had the job in t...

Re: Match Thread v Sydney in NZ !!

Hi everyone, I'm in Siem Reap for the week and my family have found exactly zero pubs showing the game - if anyone has a link to a stream and could PM me that would be sensational. Thanks!

Re: Considered criticisms of the Thommo years

I must say it's very interesting but awfully sad to read this thread. The GT era is now two eras ago - it doesn't seem like long ago that Roo, BJ, Kosi, Dal and Ball were starting out and it felt like we had an eternity to win a premiership. Another half-decade era has passed with so many parallels ...

Re: St Kilda's 2013 jumpers

I don't mind this clash jumper too much. It's a big improvement over some of the things we've had in the last few years... like the white jumper with a logo that looked like it had faded in the wash. This clash jumper reminds me a little bit of the hot cross bun jumper of the late 90s which I quite...

Agree; I think it's as close we'll get to having the traditional tri-panel as a clash jumper anytime soon.

St Kilda's 2013 jumpers

True Sainters posted the 2013 jumper designs this afternoon: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/A6v6higCYAEcT_W.jpg Some minutiae that I'm sure not many here will give a rat's proverbial about: - ISC have changed their template slightly; the collar isn't a solid bar all the way around, and there are should...

Re: Captain 2013 and beyond.

Much like I fantasise of a red, yellow and black St Kilda jumper I fantasise about Ben McEvoy being St Kilda's 2017 premiership captain. Then we got Tom Hickey, and I thought...what if Big Ben isn't even to hold down the number one ruck spot in a few years' time? Fantasies aside, a few "ifs&quo...

Yep, Burke's last game.

It was also Heritage Round and spurred the return of the candy stripe jumper in the three seasons following:

He's only played two games but I really thought losing Ledger before the first bounce hurt us. He's the exact kind of player we lacked yesterday - no questions when attacking the footy and at the bottom of every pack.

Re: The Jumper

I don't mind this jumper too much at all - it's certainly better than the 2007/08 and 2011 clash jumpers. Finally, a clash jumper with a lot more red in it, as opposed to white with a bit of red, and more black. It would be perfect if it had solid red and black panels like the home jumper does (or t...

Re: Game Thread vs Port Adelaide

Great to see the intensity lift in that quarter and some real purpose in possessions going forward. Having players moving ahead and around the ball helps and the players really clicked into gear. Disposal still a concern and the midfield needs to get on top (understatement). Weight of numbers hopefu...

I've only seen him play in the practice game against Werribee, but going from what I saw that day and from reports today and over the past few weeks it looks like Sam Dunell could be a real find. A good sized medium forward who moves well with a nice kick. I feel the receruiting over recent drafts h...

hopefully the injury isn't too serious hyper extended knee apparently Certainly hope that's the case (as far as the alternative injuries go). Re: The Virus and Wilkes selected

I thought the "rules" (or whatever) said that those named in the starting 18 on the Thursday were definite ins, with the final four interchange players named from the extended bench of seven. Obviously Ray has been taken out of the starting 18 for Cripps, and I remember Archer was taken ou...

Re: Siposs article in the Age

It's always great to have a supporter of the club drafted to the Saints. As others have mentioned, I really liked reading how he got excited when he was watching games. And that last line certainly got me excited. He hasn't been there for long but he's driven to get one thing and already saying it p...

Re: Shenton/Markworth/Siposs - Medium Fwd

I think everyone likes what they've seen of Siposs - he may not have got the ball a whole heap (of course, it was his first few games) but when he did get it he used it very handsomely. Not only that, but he used it well in whichever part of the ground he was (as per what saintsRrising said). I thou...

After a tape of the 2010 GF Draw - original Ch 7 broadcast

Yeah yeah yeah I know it's a bit ridiculous. I asked around on BigFooty some months ago and at best got a decent download of it (some people I'm sure will have an idea where from), but nothing that quite looks totally realistic/a little unpixillated when being watched on a decent-sized TV, Basically...
