As much as I love Kosi, I think Jonathan Brown might take the points here.

If anyone needs a reminder of how sweet it is when you're winning, you only need to look back to the beginning of the decade. In the year 2000, after ten rounds we sat last. No wins, nine losses, one draw. A percentage of just 74.67%. We'd never won at what was then called Colonial Stadium. We'd jus...

I stand corrected. It wouldn't be a smart move to delist a first year player after one season of very limited chances. No point point paying for two unproven players in 2010 when we don't have to. Unless of course it's a similar scenario to Hislop.

Cahill cannot be delisted. Any player picked up in the national draft must remain on the senior list for a minimum of two years.

The only players under threat at this stage would be Leigh Fisher, Connors and Allen. Along with some of the rookies.

The simple version of it is.. An effective kick is a kick in which the team in possession retains possession. An ineffective kick is when the team in possession turns the ball over to the opposition or the kick goes out of bounds on the full. Kicks that result in a stoppage, boundary throw in or beh...

McEvoy was taken off at the end of the match because the game was all over and it was obvious that he may be required in the seniors this week.

If seniors players are a walk-up start then the team isn't good enough. Pressure from the reserves is invaluable. We have a fantastic injury list and great depth. All players should be judged on their 2009 input and that is all. No premierships are won on reputation.

St.Kilda are also allowed to elevate an extra rookie (which is Dawson) all season because we only have one player on the veterans list.

well i disagree. 1. the gate does not neccessarily translate into a dramatically improved taking. 2. we will get plenty of practice in round 22 and without demonstrating what we know we are capable of to an audience ie. keeping the rabbit in the warren. 3. we are going to be there in any case come ...

It is in St.Kilda's best interests because - 1 - the gate. 2 - playing on the ground the finals are played on against a side that will play finals. 3 - our players will play in a finals atmosphere infront of 70,000+. 4- a bigger ground is better preparation ahead of the game at subiaco the following...

If both Geelong and St.Kilda win this weekend, they are guaranteed to be 1st and 2nd after round 13.
The game should be at the MCG. It's in the best interests of St.Kilda, Geelong and the AFL.

Strength Of Opposition

I know this 'who have we beaten' topic has been debated in other threads, but i thought this is worth noting. St.Kilda may not have played either of last year's Grand Finalists, however, every side we have played, except for Fremantle, have sat inside the eight the week we played them. Further to th...

First seven games were excellent. Did his job, had a role.

Last two games have been poor. Needs to return to earlier form to justify his spot, but may be running out of time.

Hasn't been effective enough as a third forward in recent weeks.

However, hard to make unforced changes to a 9-0 side.

Armitage was warming up incase Luke Ball did not play. Apparently soreness in his upper right leg was the reason. Don't know if it was groin, quad or hamstring.

We have cleverly made our 'clash' strip very similar to our home strip. It retains our colours and our original frontal design. I have no problem with us wearing it whenever is needed. Clash strips are used for a jumper 'clash', ie - it is difficult for spectators to tell the teams apart, therefore ...

Really, who gives a stuff?! As long as we are wearing red, white and black and we get the four points who really cares?!

If we need to wear white shorts with our away jumper then so be it. This debate is for people stuck in the past.

The Dogs Always Knock Us Down When We're Up!

It's about time we beat the dogs while we're up. Everytime things seem to be going right, they get in the way....here's some examples..... 2008, Round 3 - We were two and zip after winning the pre season comp and looking great. 37 points up at quarter time we were home, or that's what the players th...
