Does anyone think there's the slightest chance we'll ever see some value from the Rookie Draft?
Four players elevated from the rookie list played in the preliminary for us this year. Milne, Eddy, Jones and McQualter.

Its ok, it basically seems to be all the stkilda matches off foxtel's review show. Highlights of both teams, followed by the score, then Ross Lyon's press conference. The games we lost it shows about three highlights. I expected better. It's certainly no 'That Was The Season That Was' hosted by Sand...

Obviously the club knows best and there are reasons for this decision.
However getting the hopes of the supporters up and then disappointing the majority of them is poor form.

How can this Barrett rabbit have any idea about St.Kilda's salary cap and player payment situation when there are currently only 33 players on the senior list and 3 rookies??!!

If St.Kilda couldn't afford Ben Cousins, they wouldn't go after him. Simple as that.

hardness is being able to run through a double-brick wall. Hardness is knowing you're gonna be second to the ball but making sure the player who's first knows you're there and thinks twice next time. Toughness is being that first player to the ball and putting your head over it knowing you're gonna...

I think the fixture is great. Geelong once. Hawthorn once. Collingwood once. No trip to the Gabba. One trip to Perth (and a game we should win) Melbourne, West Coast and Essendon twice. Two games in Adelaide within 3 weeks is good. You'd rather play at the same venue in quick succession than say Bri...

1) Which players on our list would get a spot in the hawks 22 at the moment. 2) Which players have the potential to get a spot. My thoughts are below but I don't have enough knowledge of the Hawthorn team to have a firm opinion on the matter let alone give consideration to the old chestnut "te...

I reckon Mark Ricciuto would be good. But we'd have to lure him away from playing local footy in Waikerie first.

Can we read anything into the fact he is announcing his preferred club on Channel 7 tomorrow? Surely if he was going to the Pies he would be announcing it on channel 9.

Adelaide used the pick to draft Darren Pfeiffer who never played a senior game and was delisted at the end of 2007
He has since been picked up by Carlton and played 7 games this year.

29 / 30

Including finals and the pre-season comp, the AFL season runs for 30 rounds. St.Kilda featured in 29 of them. The one missing? The one that matters.

The same thing happened in 2004.

So close, but in reality, so far.

True. However I'm sure the 12 games at the MCG makes up for that. They only played 4 games away from the MCG, TD or Aurora.

St.Kilda's achievement of 1 million fans through the gates is far greater than that of the other four clubs to achieve this, as despite us having played 25 games after Saturday night, none of Hawthorn, Collingwood, Essendon or Carlton have had to play at Carrara or the capacity reduced SCG. Fitness & Final Quarters

It appears as though our fitness and finishing has been better this year than any other in the recent past. The extra funding allocated to this area seems to be worth it, particularly in the latter half of the year. If indeed it has improved then it will really show through this week. Despite a brui...
