My understanding is that Sammy was "encouraged" to retire. Which he didn't want to do, held the hope that he would come good. Which everyone knew was a pipe dream. So didn't leave entirely happy with St Kilda. That is exactly right. He had another year of his very lucrative backended cont...

Read between the lines folks. His surgeon cleared him to train not to play. Playing this Saturday and exposing his body to hard, tough physical contests is another story in terms of further risk for Morris.

Steve McBurney was a staunch St.Kilda supporter and I cannot remember one decision he has ever made that would favour us in the slightest.
Thank god we have a person on here that watches it threw 2 eyes.
That's 'through' by the way. :)

It's not his shoulder, it is his left elbow. Another poster said it is a dislocation so hoping it is minor as he's been fantastic.

I'm not getting sucked into your roundabout of bulltish Plugger. Ryan is an umpire that should never officiate Geelong games. Why because some moron on here writes rubbish. You must be easily influenced. What frees were incorrect or do just do the popular thing on here and bag umpires even if you a...

Re: WE WERE VERY, VERY, VERY LUCKY

We were very, very, very lucky that Shaun Ryan 25 was not the umpire involved when Gwilt was pushed in the back, for had that been the case, the free kick would not have been awarded and Geelong would have been infront! Shaun Ryan grew up following Geelong, not to mention the fact that he also happ...

To all those TOOLS who are bagging plugger, you are either clueless, or never saw him play. He was one of the best players I've seen play footy in my 30 years of going to the footy. End of Story. Absolutely correct. Anyone who did not have the privilege to watch this guy in his prime should not be ...

Terrible for him. He is a great kid and let's hope its not both the fibula and tibia bones that are broken, like Goose did. Poor Goose shattered both of the bones. I'ts both, it bent right over when he tried to stand up Very sad to hear this. He would have been on a modest salary this year too.

All the same, if they did their homework properly they would have included Stevie Baker to that missing list before Clarke and Dempster.

Re: The Curse of Trading First Round Picks

On a further note, coach Thomas had lost the support of the President and once best friend Butters at the time and was hellbent on keeping CEO Jim Watts' support. GT was never going to look at anyone else with that first pick as a result of the 'behind the scenes' club politics. :) It's a nice stor...

Re: The Curse of Trading First Round Picks

Sorry but very rich and bold comment to say Watts would have been a champ. No, it's not actually. He was rated quite highly at the Crows, I don't believe they were happy to see him go. He had a couple leg/ankle injuries, before that he was a perfect KP forward. Despite having one leg, he did some p...

Jump on Jack Steven this year, this kid will be great.
I agree. Steven is going to be a gun midfielder for us. Very talented with a natural footy brain.
