Re: Petracca or McCartin?
Historically mids are less likely to be a bust than key forwards so from a PR/confidence in the management team perspective I think Baines will be driving them down the Petracca path. At this stage of the rebuild the club can ill afford a Jack Watts scenario to play out for all sorts of reasons both...

Re: Petracca or McCartin?
Brayshaw has fewer question marks than Petracca IMO but less upside.

Re: Petracca or McCartin?
The question mark on Petracca is whether he is a man child who has been dominating less developed kids?
I'm not saying that's true but that is always the concern when you draft a player whose key traits are strength and power who has only ever been tested at U/18 level.

Petracca or McCartin?
It seems it's down to two.
Who will we take and why?
Petracca seems like a lock but do we take the best key forward at 1 and use 21 and 22 for Mids?

Re: List of GC 2015 Carnage
Thompson would be an awesome get if would could pull it off.
It would be almost impossible though as he is a Gold Coast boy so there is no go home factor and I think aside from Gaz he would be the first player they would want to stich up.

Re: Draft Days- Doco- Jack B- afl.com.au
A really good doco. They all seem like great kids from really supportive families. You get the impression that Jack is putting a lot of pressure on himself to be successful at AFL Level and he seems the most intense of the three lads. I can't wait until his body is strong enough as I reckon we will ...

Re: Who can rebrand themselves?
I think Gilbert has all the tools to become an elite midfield stopper in the Ryan Crowley mould.
Like Crowley, Gilbert can get dangerous up forward which would give his opponenent something extra to think about than just winning their own pill.

Re: Dermott loves our club now
The club wont care what people like Dermott says as they believe in the course they have taken but its the potential loss of membership numbers that is the concerning part!
This is a crictical time for the club and we need something positive to come out of this very soon!

Re: Who Do We Pick - 3/18/19 Predictions ..
Billings Dunstan Hartung I think this would be an excellent outcome. A matchwinner in Billings, an inside mid with leadership qualities in Dunstan and the best outside runner in the draft in Hartung. Hartung was considered top 5 early in the year and actually had a really good 2013. Maybe he has sl...

Re: Sax's 2013 Phantom Draft (Top 20)
Ideally a combination of a game changer in Billings, an inside ball winner in Crouch an a really good distributor like Dumont or Salem would be a fantastic outcome. I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one of Lennon or Salem slide to our picks especially if a club needs a KPP like Gardiner or McC...

Re: Interesting players
Lee is the most interesting player IMO. This year he seemed to lack the pace to beat his opponent on the lead and/or the strength to win the one on ones. He has great hands and a beautiful kick so I am hoping that he finds a way to win contests against AFL standard defenders!

Re: National Draft
Agree with you 100% on this. If it could go: Pick 3- Billings Pick 18 and 19- Two of Crouch, Dumont, Sheed and Dunstan then I will be very happy. I would love Lennon to slide but that probably wont happen. This midfield heavy draft has come at the perfect time for us and we have the opporunity to b...

Re: Longer deal done
From looking at the 2011 Draft Highlight Clip our boy Billy Longer is a beautiful tap ruckman with a terrific set of hands. Shifter said he is really quick which will be a welcome change from the plodder that used to play for us!! If Longer can develop into the player that he was considered to be wh...

A lot to like about tonight
There was a lot to like about tonights performance. Armo, Steven, Sippos, Cripps, McEvoy all showed they are worth keeping. Fisher and Gilbert were almost back to their best and Milne, Schneider and Kosi all looked dangerous at times. If our two guns can get anywhere near their best over the next fe...

I have been lucky enough to know Doc all of my life. My childhood memories are full of Doc teaching me how to handball, evade defenders and control the ball in traffic. We talked alot about the current group of players and Doc is adament that Roo will take his mantle as the best Saints player ever. ...

Doc tributes to be sent to the club
Our greatest player, Darrel Baldock, passed away peacefully about 30 mins ago.
There will never be another one like Doc and he will be sorely missed by all of us.
RIP Doc, we love you mate.
