I think that's an incredibly ignorant comment. Hawkins far and away the best key fwd in the competition right now. He sets up as many goals as he kicks.The_Dud wrote: ↑Sat 19 Jun 2021 3:01pmI think that would be a downgrade on his potential.Banger9798 wrote: ↑Sat 19 Jun 2021 2:57pmI think I'd settle for a Hawkins level Full forwardThe_Dud wrote: ↑Sat 19 Jun 2021 2:55pmI would be disappointed if he turned out to be the same level as Hawkins, who is a B-Grader made to look good by being in a dominant team with star after star in the midfield.Sanctorum wrote: ↑Sat 19 Jun 2021 1:48pm Two observations came to mind when I read this news:
1. One of the day game commentators said the other day that Max King is tracking Geelong's Tom Hawkins in terms of his stats in years 1 and 2, which is a very encouraging sign, and
2. At the end of his new contract (2026) he is likely to follow former St Kilda gun full-forwards, Plugger Lockett and Big Bad Barry Hall to the Sydney Swans to really turn it on!!
Max King signs until 2026
