There's being transparent & there's being transparent!
Just getting in first I suppose.
It's called damage control.
Whether it will help; well that's a different matter.
I'm actually a fan of the statement....no awkward press conference, no representive trying to paint all is well.
Hope they keep it up and the official line from the club is 'it's been dealt with, the club has released a statement'
Yes I am a fan also.
And so is Battye.
Imagine how many extra Terrabytes of data would be on Saintsational now if we only had sketchy details?
The site may have overloaded........and crashed again even!
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.
I've re-read the statment on the Hun site. It says prescribed (not prescription) medication.
To me that is not so bad as I believe that the medication would have been for the particular player(s) and they may have used it incorrectly e.g. as someone mentioned earlier taking alcohol with it.
However by including it int the statement it achieves the purpose of putting a rocket up them.

It will stop the newspapers from going with headlines like "Saints in Drug Scandal"
Oh, wait a minute..
Given our moral currency at the moment it might read "Drugs in Saints Scandal"
