Brisbane defeated Bombers to play the saints in the second game
due to the sheer size of martin Pike No one was game to go near him so he kicked 3 or 4 for the Lions defeat the Saints


Burke's quote of the night- when asked about How big Lazar was- 'yeh he tried to eat Brett (Bowey) earlier.

Longest goal kick was not contest- everyone kicked it long...

It was ok just a bit of hit and giggle. 9 a side across the field.Some of the Saints players were, Justin Peckett, Kane Taylor, Brett Bowey, Lazar Vidovic, Jason Daniel, Nathan Burke, there were a few more but they had no numbers and years have got on. someone else might have a few more names

The major different rule in the game is that unless you spot a teammate (i.e. the ball hits the ground), then it's a turnover. No team of ex Saints players is ever going to win that one, especially against threepeat Brisbane players. Francis Leach was our celebrity player and was given the ball a lot. Burkey played just a few minutes and we looked good.

did Mal Michael play? i didnt watch it but saw him walking around the ground in the public area up the back wearing a lions jumper and footy boots.
